teo 609
Stay With Me well written? More deserving of recognition than songs from Ultraviolence? I think not. His album more deserving of recognition and praise than Ultraviolence? I think not. She wasn't even nominated? :haha:
Pop 4,541
almost every Lana song is about a Daddy she wants so don't even try it about subject matter. Taylor's writing is authentic and confessional hence why she's more praised for her writing. Many of the writing awards she's received are actually based on merit, not popularity Expose it! Staryu 6,162
Have you ever listenned to her discography ? "almost every lana song is about a Daddy she wants" do you believe everything you read on f*cking tumblr and twitter ? just because there's a joke going around about Daddy issues, doesn't mean its real Lana has written like 3 or 4 songs that mention "Daddy" the rest of her songs are completly different, while i can say the same about Taylor and stereotype her work "All Taylor songs are about her sh*tty 10min relationship break-ups" while you and i both know its isn't true, so stop spreading bullsh*t around this thread. Thank You
BillieGOAT 5,198
I'm sure Taylor is devastated
Cody Draco 2,531
She wasn't even nominated? :haha: That is my point, Redstreak brought up awards when we are discussing TALENT makes no sense.
Chic 20,830
He won them for Stay with me, which is a really well written song. It's really catchy too. You might not like him or his work in general, but you have to admit it's a good song. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :air: I CAN'T BREATHE :air:
Redstreak 6,653
Get back to us when Taylor can even attempt to write about something as deep, personal, and risky as Ultraviolence or as mature and thoughtful as Old Money. She never will because after all these years she is still writing about the same exact **** she was on her debut. Except now she has gotten even more basic and bland (see Shake It Off). Songs like Clean, State of Grace, All Too Well, and Long Live have more emotional depth and speak to listeners on a visceral level more than anything Lana has yet to put out. It's interesting to note that one of review of Ultraviolence noted that the only song that seemed to signify maturity and growth in her writing was The Other Women which they then found out was a cover written by someone else Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
Logan 20,716
That is my point, Redstreak brought up awards when we are discussing TALENT makes no sense. He was referring to her songwriting talent, which won awards. It was simply supporting evidence.
Yoshi 35
do we really have to go Express yourself Vs. Born this way on every song? There's a reason why Taylor is above Lana in every way. One reason being she's always pressed about her failures and directs her frustrations towards artists who are work harder and earn harder. She needs to stop acting like a child and be more productive. Ever since "So Legit" I'm obviously biased. I think she has a rotten personality and that's dragging her down. Well did Lana actually say anything? No she didn't. This thread is based off tabloid romours. Lana is touring with Courtney Love and BTD is the second most streamed album by a female of all time? Don't see many failures here. Pretty funny that you are calling her a child and telling her to be more producitve. She has sang title tracks for hollywood blockbusters. darkchylde 14,857
Right? Lana is not the only b---h with a Tumblr/Instagram account. People act like she came up with instant cameras and vinyl records right after releasing three separate debut albums under different names in a desesperate effort to become famous, something that only worked partially so now she's mad at everyone who is above her. FGGrayson 9,670
Yes, Lana. Let the hate flow through you. Make So Legit 2.0 and release it on Music to Watch Men To Preach it!! Ew, she's put against Taylor? I understand why she's mad and doesn't feel she needs to go. An overrated artists usually wins over someone who is actually good. I would do the same thing tbh 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗴𝗮 • 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗲 • 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗲-𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗼𝗿 • 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻

Thank You I'm an avid fan of Lana and listen to both of her albums often. UV was one of my favorite albums of last year and yes. A great deal of her songs are about men. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Just not something that a Lana fan can go after Taylor for Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
teo 609
That is my point, Redstreak brought up awards when we are discussing TALENT makes no sense. Well it's like that with the Grammys. They can't really recognize all the good albums and songs even if they wanted to and they're not even trying that hard... Popularity is a factor there too, probably that's why Lana wasn't nominated, Ultraviolence is not really her peak. I'm sure she'll have more chances to win with her next projects.
