Her three halftime show songs earn their biggest digital sales weeks ever.

Missy Elliott's sales surge following her guest turn during Katy Perry's Feb. 1 Super Bowl halftime show continues, as she rushes both the Billboard 200 and Digital Songs charts following a week's worth of impact after the big game. On the former chart, three of her albums return to the list (at Nos. 38, 40 and 66) while on the latter, she debuts at Nos. 9, 14 and 18 with the three tunes she sang during the halftime blowout with Perry -- and all three register their biggest digital sales weeks ever.

Katy Perry & Missy Elliott See Super Sales Bump Thanks to Super Bowl

Collectively, Elliott sold 272,000 song downloads in the week ending Feb. 8 (up 282 percent compared to the 71,000 sold in the week previous). Her biggest seller of the latest week was "Work It" (one of the tunes she rapped at the Super Bowl), which debuts at No. 9 on Digital Songs with 83,000 downloads sold (up 300 percent). Her other two Super Bowl-performed tracks are her second and third-biggest sellers for the frame: "Get Ur Freak On" (No. 14 on Digital Songs with 78,000; up 316 percent) and "Lose Control," featuring Ciara and Fatman Scoop (No. 18 with 59,000; up 257 percent).

Elliott's albums also gained big time, as her catalog of releases rose by 265 percent to 8,000 copies sold for the week. (She sold 2,000 albums a week earlier.)

Why Missy Elliott? Super Bowl Halftime EP Explains Her Surprise Appearance

As for the halftime headliner Perry, she sold a total of 29,000 albums in the week after the Super Bowl (up 38 percent versus the 21,000 shifted in the week ending Feb. 1). Her biggest seller of the week was Prism, which zips 35-22 on Top Album Sales (13,000; up 52 percent). Perry's digital song catalog tallied 182,000 sold in the latest week -- up 83 percent compared to the week before (100,000).

Not to be forgotten: Lenny Kravitz (who joined Perry for "I Kissed a Girl" during the halftime show) saw a 21 percent gain in album sales (3,000 -- up from 2,000) and a 19 percent lift in song downloads (10,000 -- up from 9,000).

Glad the young kids are getting to know her... even if some of these fools thought she was a new artist and can't even be arsed to use Google to see who she is before writing on social media wondering who she is. Ahhhh the world today.

Good for her though. She always deserves love!!!

Let's not be quick to use this to bash Katy. Has it ever occurred to anyone that a large portion of this generation already owns her music due to her popularity and thus wouldn't see much of an increase in sales? Kind of like a second week album sales drop. Everyone who really anticipated the album already has it.

Whispering

Did Katy really only sell 8,000 more albums the week of the SB? Isn't that even lower than we originally thought?

Good for Missy! She should try and release that album soon that's been on hold, due to her medical condition.
