It's not real in the sense of the word. It's real as in about relationships. That's what people are digging right now. That was the whole point of the thread, you just picked Sam Smith to throw a little hate on him, once again.

It's emotional but not relatable. I doesn't have the potential to be a hit.

People have always digged songs about relationships. I didn't pick Sam Smith, you put him in the OP and tried to imply that his music is "realer" than Gaga's. :bye:

At least 90% of the people out there were never in that situation. So it's not relatable...

:toofunny:

More than 10% of people on the U.S. have an addiction to d--gs.....anyone with that addiction, or a loved one (which increases the number) would be able to relate.

And besides, you didn't even read my second paragraph. All people would have to do is see her performing that song has emotionally as ever and it'd spread like fire. She performed a jazz song she didn't even write and everyone was talking about it.

You call Sam Smith "real music" and others call Alice In Chains "real music". There is no such thing, it's all based on your own personal opinion.

Gaga makes "real music" in my opinion. Paparazzi, Aura, Judas, Bad Romance, So Happy I Could Die, The Edge Of Glory etc. are a million times more emotional and relateable than anything Sam Smith could ever even dream of creating in my opinion.

Pretty sure those people would all buy the song. And 10% of the US is enough to make a hit, surely.

Her "emotional" performance at the YouTube awards, even though she was really sad and emotional, didn't do much for the song. It's not a hit unless people can relate to it, somehow

The YouTube awards was viewed by less than 1 million people :messga:

Well, I still don't think we know anything about what kind of music she's creating aside from very, very vague rumors about it being rock-influenced. She could be doing a more organic sound with the next record which would be fine with the current state of pop music.

But whatever she's doing, I definitely think she's going to try to time it effectively and play her cards right. I still stand by the fact that ARTPOP would've been much more successful of it had been released in early 2013 like it was planned before the hip injury and other circumstances, and I think Gaga and her team know that too.

I think they're going to weigh all of their options and make sure they plan everything in the best and most efficient way this time around. I feel like Gaga's coming for blood this time, and she's going to make sure nothing stands in her way.
