Well, here it is 1500 streams of one song equal an album sale. In the UK its 12 of most streamed tracks on an album / 1000 or of the 12 top tacks on an album 1000 streams equal and album sale. I don't know why there isn't a worldwide system in place to count streams like albums. It seams weird and even cheating a little. I think it gives British artists the chance to gloat a little more. It looks easier to achieve an album sale in UK than in the US. Ed Sheeran and Mark Ronson must be jumping for joy over this news. Once the streams across the 12 tracks we are counting are added up, they will then be divided by 1,000 to create an “album stream factor†– this is then added to sales of the album to make the total by which each album will be ranked.
