Being a Gaga fan is actually the best.

She didn't write CTC either :teehee: Is that why it's bad :teehee:

No but really, writing songs doesn't take a long time, she always told the story how she wrote TEOG in 7 minutes, BTW in 5 minutes, Lovegame, Paparazzi and Poker Face were all done within 1 week. It's not really time consuming. Plus when she takes a lot of time to finish songs she works too much on them and takes away from them, like she did with ARTPOP

Poker Face & LoveGame were produced in a week not wrote in a week & Paparazzi was wrote back in 2006/07 bc Fusari produced the demo & then her mastering team remastered the stems for the record version. Just thought I'd point it out (no hate) :)

And I think she's the best modern pop star and in 30 years they'll all call her the queen of pop and the good thing is Gaga will aid and be supportive of her contemporaries who're as talented and if not more talented than her.

Unlike Madonna js.

I think she's a brilliant artist but some of you are overpraising her. This is a woman with insane and broad talent, but she can't control, plan or manage her career for ****. ARTPOP had forty new beginnings and promises, only one happened. Besides her most recent studio time, the last three years have been extremely uncoordinated. Gaga has had her life saved by ten men, did a million team clean-outs and overcame/once again submitted to d--gs/depression countless times, and this was all for what, exactly? Let's take it for what it ACTUALLY IS and admit to ourselves that her mind and plans situationally change and her lack of consistency will always be justified as clever artistry or complex/intricate career planning. It's not always her fault, but God, give some leeway to other people's viewpoints. It actually sickens me that people are blindly praising her and expect others to believe they're being positive and rational just because they claim to be. Gaga is a messy artist that's best when she's coordinated and stellar overall. But God, are the dissapointments (and the fans lucky enough to enjoy them so they can fuel their angel/sophistication complexes by feigning moral superiority by not constructively criticizing so much as a molecule of her existence and are then themselves given blind support because of this 'positivity trumps all' mindset) are annoying. The compromization of positivity and negativity is the only rational thing. Enablement and worship gets us nowhere.

Also, I believe no-one who says this isn't blind praise. That's just blind validation to blind praise and nobody's going to take the immense amount of time and fluency to combat your intangible irrationality. That's why I hate these topics. Positive, blind followers take the higher moral ground so everyone else looks less educated or appreciative. Then of course that isn't the case because they say so and there's no way to disprove it. It sickens me more than people who hate her work. It's not positivity, it's complex negativity and borderline egoidm disguised with positive arguments.

Its becoming a lot harder to appreciate her as my favorite artist when i thought the execution of the ARTPOP era was incredibly disappointing & a let down to many, including Gaga herself.

I found the concept ridiculous & uncreative, the music dull and uninspiring, the era .... do i need to start?

I'm not into Jazz either, but at least she's happy now.

As fans, we are not obligated to sit and blindly agree with every move she does, we are allowed to have our own opinions without being criticized or shamed by other fans.

i dont think that they are trying tosay you cant have an opinion. i think theyre just saying you should respect the different directions she goes in (since she is always changing her sound) and appreciate the ones that you like.

I don't like the idea of being "in the ride" with an artist; I don't understand such personal investment into the life of a celebrity but maybe that's just me :emma:

In terms of variety, in terms of her peers she definitely has one of the most varied and capable voices but when she makes pop albums, she really needs to experiment properly in the "pop" genre. I don't like Jazz but I think it's great that she took the step to make an album solely on it; she has a lot of delusional fans so it's nice that she could introduce them to a genre they wouldn't otherwise see :sis: Shade at her fans excluded this is the type of experimenting that makes her different  Who cares if I or any number of fans or casual listeners dislike certain genres that she delves into, her back-discography always exists and the future always holds something new.
