The Professor 1,060
The article wasn't very clear, i dont think its confirmed they would perform C2C. Maybe they just sing a few different songs for warmup?

George 363
You are right that we shouldn't jump to conclusions, but all we are able to do at this point is speculate. A Cole Porter record doesn't sound all that promising to me. Tony is creatively complacent and so is Gaga at this point. I just would like to see something a little more inspired by two great artists. I'm with you, hoping she will surprise us. I dont feel like Tony is creatively complacent, it's just that he wants to sing the standards, that is his shtick. He even says so in the interview, and has been doing it for so long. I imagine just the thought of actually writing own new music to sing must scare him because it would be easily compared to his records of standards and not live up to that level of expectations. And at the end of the day, both CTC and the next project, are his projects, Gaga is a partner in this but he is the main jazz artist there. So I feel as long as Gaga works with him, they will give us standard-Tony-albums (not a bad thing at all imo) and we shouldn't expect any more from them as a team. Highly doubt Tony at his 88 years old will change his style. Maybe one day Gags will venture into jazz alone and that will be a different story, I hope she does. And thanks for actually giving your opinion with actual arguments and knowledge. I think Zilla's comment about stan cards and Burger King was more aimed at other kind of more rude and empty comments like "she better release pop first or I'll burn my stan card" or "Another thing I wont buy or listen, as long as she doesnt give us pop" or the most cringeworthy "she can't give us anything anymore" Hello, it's me
thierryrreiht 20,997
Not the best choice for the Grammys... Underwhelmed tbh… (still Gaga on TV is pretty thrilling not gonna lie!!)

boyerased 2,886
Good sis Gaga need to use her time with Tony as much as she can. The project is mutual thing. And Tony isn't in his 30s anymore. So yes, it is possible for that jazz records in a row to happen. It's possible but remember she said a while ago that she's working on two albums. From a marketing standpoint, it's better to release LG5 first. Yeah Tony isn't getting any younger but oh well...
bblough 312
Everyone should really calm way, way down. She will write her own jazz stuff, like Paradise. I think she's building her confidence a little, before putting it out, or something like it. Do you know how easy it is for her to go into the studio and sing a few songs with Tony? She can do that with her eyes closed. At the moment she is indulging Tony. She could be done with the new jazz (Cole Porter) album in a few weeks. At the same time she is working hard on her new pop album. She is a multimultitasker. She can do more than one thing at the same time. Just give her a chance. And..... the fact that she is not doing a grueling tour right now will help her get to all of your requests of her. Have faith
Cody Draco 2,531
Who's cole porter? I'm glad she's not abandoning Tony but I hope she focuses on her next pop album otherwise the GP will give up on her and think she's abandoned Pop to be a Jazz Queen The person who wrote Anything Goes GAGA DIDNT YOU READ MY POST CHEEK TO CHEEK IS NOT A GOOD SONG TO SING IT SOUNDS TACKY SING LUSH LIFE OR SOMETHING ELSE WITH TONY PLESSE DEAR GOD. Cody Draco 2,531
I'd prefer a Jazz album without Tony, and with original songs. Just saying Same, not that Tony is bad but most of the songs they covered are cheesy to me. I did enjoy It Don't Mean A Thing though. Hopefully I won't get dragged for my non kiss ass opinion.
