Not EPs but 10 track albums like artists did in the 80s

Yes that way we could argue even more if the next album would be LG81 or just LG2 thanks :giggle:

Jk

Personally I wouldn't like that and I think she could still do consistent and successful works, maybe short ones but full lenghts, even make videos for every song, it's all up to her

Jewels n Drugs

No tbh. Maybe as a continuation of a full LP a la TF[M].

If she did EPs then the LG# debate would never end :smh:

Idk why TFM was ever called an EP in the first place cos it's way too long, and it's made her fans believe that the standard length of an EP is 8 tracks lol.

The RIAA define an EP as 3-5 tracks, or under 30 minutes in total. The Official Chart Company here in the UK defines an EP as four tracks or less, or less than 25 minutes in total. Anything more is an album.

EP stands for 'extended play' which comes from the times when vinyls were used as the main way to distribute music. It's 'extended' cos the music on it lasts longer than a single. LP means 'long play', i.e. the discs are bigger and hold more tracks - a full album. When EPs were introduced for the very first time in the 40s, they could only physically hold 15 minutes of recording. In the 50s and 60s, they would only have 4 songs. Then when vinyls started to die out EPs were generally made less but still happened on CDs and now digitally, but the format kind of remained.

This is why I don't understand why TFM is considered an EP. It doesn't make sense. I can only guess that they just wanted to re-release The Fame to milk the sales, but Gaga ended up writing a whole new album and they weren't ready to move on so they attached it to the album as an extra EP just to boost the sales. I guess it worked.

I kind of agree! Think about it:

- first 6 songs on TF tracklist practically made the album, no one cared about the rest of the album,

- TFM slayed,

- BTW was slammed by critics because of how many fillers it has. That big album just feels clumsy and chaotic while there are so many fillers,

- ARTPOP basically had the same problem as BTW but on smaller scale.

If BTW was EP with best songs only on it ( HML, BTW, TEOG , Hair, MTN, You and I) it would perform better imho.

She should just find a middle ground, like 10-12 songs.

If she could manage to make a 15-17 song album where every song is excellent then I'd be all for that, but her track record suggests that that's not the case
