JaysAMess 27,843
Basically what others have said. Oh, and let's not forget that TFM has an iconic hit on it, meanwhile 1989 doesn't even have a memorable song on it.
retroglamx 5,177
Is it me or the album cover is ugly AF.... recycled hipster-ish filter. and that shirt.... gawd. and the font... Didnt no one ever notice she stole the ARTPOP era font themes... ??!! WW she willl not surpass TFM.... local chanteuse The cover is in fact inspired by the type of photography around 1980-1990. The font is not even a font, it's Taylor's handwriting. Check yo facts. Pink flamingos always fascinated me.
Gianni Versace 2,987
Commercially? Perhaps Culturally? Not even close Basically what others have said. Oh, and let's not forget that TFM has an iconic hit on it, meanwhile 1989 doesn't even have a memorable song on it. Commercially it has already surpassed it. Culture wise, The Fame Monster, hands down. Exactly. I was about to write this, in sales maybe it will do better, but 0 impact. Commercially I think 1989, it's been on fire since its release and it doesn't seem like it'll be slowing down much anytime soon :P Culturally we'll have to wait and see So overall would it be Taylor or Gaga? or would it be even in your opinion? Muh 144
It will probably outsell TFM but TFM's impact on pop culture is nowhere near to be matched

Gianni Versace 2,987
Commercially? Perhaps Culturally? Not even close Let's see in a couple years But if 1989 is more recognised and praised in the future than The Fame Monster.... The Fame Monster. That really secured Gaga's position in the music industry, Taylor's is just another album adding to her legacy. it will maybe sell more but it will never have the same impact on pop culture So, overall, which will be more successful? or is it even? Gaga was even supposed to do a promotion with polaroid once upon a time. As for this question... Is it me or the album cover is ugly AF.... It's you. djBuffoon 12,123
Commercially? Perhaps Culturally? Not even close This. The impact of "Bad Romance" alone should answer this question.

Oh, and let's not forget that TFM has an iconic hit on it, meanwhile 1989 doesn't even have a memorable song on it. Wait until Style slay the charts and radio and streaming and become her most memorable song and a pop classic and everything ;) SIO was a huge hit WW and it's kinda memorable for being a IDGAF to all her detractors tho
