The 56-year-old was arrested on animal abuse charges. Her remaining four dogs were handed over to the Humane Society. A Florida woman is facing animal abuse charges after police say she drowned a puppy in an airport's toilet after being told it was too young to fly. The puppy was one of five dogs Cynthia Anderson, 56, was carrying with her through the Central Nebraska Regional Airport on Friday when she was stopped by an airline official, the Orlando Sentinel reported. Her three Doberman puppies, which were joined by two adult dogs, were described as having to be at least eight weeks old in order to fly. These dogs, described as about two-weeks old, had reportedly yet to open their eyes. At some point Anderson was able to hand over two of the puppies to her parents who came to pick them up, according to police. But for some unknown reason the third puppy wasn't taken, they said. Shortly after Anderson exited a public bathroom another woman reported finding a dead puppy in a toilet, police said. An autopsy on the dog found water in the pooch's lungs, indicating that it had drowned to death. I read about it earlier today and I was just shocked but I somehow feel sad for the woman based on her mugshot. I can't stand abuse of animals - people who cause pain to those that can't defend themselves, are the weakest humans.
