kevinthesheep 2,947 Posted January 28, 2015 Share Posted January 28, 2015 guys… Partners was not a good album, period. it wasn't received very well, and is nothing standout compared to anything she has done previously. obviously barbra doesn't have to prove herself or her voice to anyone (everyone knows she's a legend), but c2c is the clear winner. i'll be very surprised if they don't win. Plus, it has been over 20 years since she last won a Grammy. Actually, they are all covers on this album. And she only co-wrote one song-evergreen, which was released decades ago. Plus, it has been over 20 years since she last won a Grammy. She co-wrote ONE of the songs and recorded it 40 years ago. That hardly is some great accomplishment. ARTPOP might be Gaga's worst album (although imo "The Fame" is worse). HOWEVER, compared to other pop musicians, ARTPOP is still far better than Prism. The fact that Prism got nominated (and even Bangerz) is due to their popularity among the grand public and not for qualitative reasons. The nominations of the Grammys are all primarily about popularity of the album/artist at this specific moment in pop culture.
