Like why on Earth all of the people in your community think y'all should be doing what the authorities are supposed to do. You pay your taxes after all you should expect them to do their job. :haha: That being said I'm not engaging in any kind of gun arguments, cause that will just end up in Goose telling me I'm a stupid European after 2 pages of fighting. We can't demand police patrol. My town has 170 people. The nearest towns are about 5 miles away, both small as well. The nearest police station is about 20 minutes away. They have to respond to all of the towns in the area. I'm going to hell for this but I lol'd when I read the article. Can you Americans keep the guns away from toddlers and babies please? Who will protect innocent children from inept parents? People want the right of bearing arms... don't kids have a right not to get shot? TiphEret 1,320 Posted January 21, 2015 Share Posted January 21, 2015 I really don't get the logic in using gun as a mean to protect your family, I know I don't live in the US so I can't "understand" but my parents live in the middle of nowhere in France, the police is way more than 20 minutes away and we know sometimes thief go arond during summer vacation. However gun is the last thing we would consider to defend ourselves. I mean we have strong wooden blinds and try to secure the house the best way possible (it's an old house) and that's all we can do. I know that it's quite unlikely a thief would carry a gun in France but it could happen. So why nothing is done to educate people in order to find alternative to protect your selves? Plus Australia restricted guns use some years ago and they had some big improvment and I think their use is quite similar to the one in the US. How many more kids are gonna die in a stupid incident because people are brainwashed about possible evil knocking to their doors? People always generalize whole nationality.
