Britney Spears was still in grammar school when Mariah Carey first hit that famous high note with her self-titled debut album in 1990.

Now the ultimate diva has signed a residency deal worth mega-millions to headline the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Mariah, 45, announced her new gig during a pre-recorded interview with Ellen DeGeneres set to air on television on Thursday.

Ellen kicked off the interview by prompting Mariah to tell the audience some exciting news.

'Well, I 'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars,' the star announced. 'This is a special event for me.

'And again, I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this cause I’m gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album Number 1’s, and this is now the updated version with 18 of them.'

I believe not until the end of 2017 unless she chooses to extend her contract.

I think that is such an outdated idea for today.

If Britney released another album with just 1 monster single, she could go on a two year sell out world tour.
