coming to take the Avatar's crown :gaga:

I don't know about that, but I expect big numbers nonetheless. Despite controversy over Avatar's story, it was a cinematic masterpiece that took years upon years to create. I think Avatar had more of a universal theme, not everyone likes superhero movies. But like I said, there's a ton of hype surrounding this movie so it will pull in big numbers. Not number 1 though.

I'm a big fan of the DC universe but I can't deny that Marvel has done a beautiful job in setting up this series and creating a story. Each movie in the series brings us closer to what they're building up for, Thanos. The movies are just going to keep getting more intense. It's very unfortunate though that they can't call Scarlet and Quicksilver mutants because they don't have the rights to them.

Who is Thanos? And how is it that they don't have rights to the mutants but have rights to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver

No problem! It's a lot to process between all the comics and movie rights stuff. I haven't read the comics myself, so I go on the Marvel wikia and spend hours just reading about everything. It's pretty interesting!

I feel like Marvel studios is sooo missing out by not having rights to the X men and Fantastic 4, but at the same time I feel that there would be so many characters it would be impossible to fit them all in one movie and give each character justice, so maybe its for the best. Thor, Ironman, and Captain America are oddly a refreshing group of leaders and heroes and I feel if the X men or Fantastic 4 were involved then it would just overshadow this team.

Like you I too am more of a DC universe fan but I cannot deny what Marvel studios has created is pretty impressive, I only hope that DC universe can do the same with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the Justice League movie, though I'm not gonna hold my breath if WB studios is involved they ruined Green Lantern

I think they are missing out to, the mutants are amazing. They probably realize this too. It would be too late for them to really include them anyways; Now that they've set the dates and announced the movies, it would be too much of a scramble to get all the rights back in my opinion. I think in the comics Magneto is one of the Avengers main enemies. Things like this would just be awesome to see..The avengers interacting with the X-Men. I think that's why I like the Avengers series so much to begin with. So many different movies but they're all the same universe. Just sucks that they can't tie the knot with Spiderman and X-Men. I don't really care for the Fanstic Four all that much, I find them boring.

I'm excited for Batman v Superman as well, and I have no doubts that it will be amazing, but I think there's a lot more hype surrounding Avengers. Just to show you the power of Marvel, The Guardians of the Galaxy featured characters that the general public has no clue about, and it managed to beat out Superman and it was one of the biggest movies of 2014. I love DC, but when it comes to their movies it's very hit or miss, which is unfortunate.

On one hand, its wreaking havoc on the comics and such since the CEO of Disney hate Fox, and wants to spite them and every time, leading to tons of issues with pushing Avengers/GotG. On the other, without X-men and F4, Marvel has had to play their hand in pushing other heroes into the forefront, such as Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Black Bolt.

Sadly, for DC, their TV division is already firing on cylinders, unlike their movies, which have shot themselves way too many times.

But DC still has the power of familarity. Even though the public has no idea about Superman's or Wonderwoman's back story they are still familiar with the image of the character and I think it will incline them to pay a ticket and watch the movie. I have no doubts BvS:DoJ will draw in the audiences, what matters is the quality of the movie and if it will win the public over enough to watch JL movie and all the sequels. I do feel its a shame that the CW tv series of Flash and Arrow does not tie in to the movie universe given they are very popular. I never understood how DC can have popular animated series (Batman TAS, Batman/Superman adventures, teen titans, young justice, justice league, etc) and popular shows (Smallville, Arrow, Flash) but cannot translate that to the big screen (Superman Returns flopped, Green Lantern flopped, Man of Steel did okay). I feel like A LOT is riding on BvS:DoJ. I only hope its high quality because I really wanna see a properly done JL movie, I feel it can do so much wonders for DC comics and could match the level of success as Avengers. Here's hoping ....

We know Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man wont die because they have new movies after Avengers 2. But Black Widow, Hulk and Hawkeye could die because they don't have their own titles in the future.
