ANUSLOVER96 260
MJH is about weed, s-x dreams is about s-x, gypsy is about traveling. Teeth is about a person showing his/her true self, the truth 'or fear thereoff'. (deeper) So Happy I could Die is about her fear of addiction and alcohol. (deeper) Dance In The Dark is about body image and fear for s-x with the lights on. (deeper) :madge: Excuse me what? You have to be kidding? Seriously? REALLY? I SAID they were better NOT deeper. if you had noticed I put "." between the two ideas. gawd if I listen to SHICD or Teeth more than twice I'll have a headache, Mary Jane Holland is better than those three songs put together. besides it's connected to Dope (which is probably deeper than all of TFM) stop giving more meaning to TFM songs than there actually is. "Gypsy is about traveling?" this is what you got from the song?!!!! sorry but .
ANUSLOVER96 260
ARTPOP has few msterpieces like DWUW, Aura, Venus and Applause, but sadly also a lot of fillers like Donatella, MANiCURE, Fashion!, GUY, JnD and Swine I can't believe you just called these songs fillers! Donatella fillers? MANiCURE fillers??? Fashion! fillers????!!! SWINE fillers!!!!!!!!!?????? I'll tell you what are fillers Dance In The Dark Teeth So Happy I Could Die THOSE are fillers, and TFM is the one that feels like a mixtape because it's not cohesive just a bunch of songs she put together who had similar production. BTW and ARTPOP are Gaga's only cohesive because they're all tell the same story you can feel the ambience unlike The Fame or The Fame Monster you can feel it when you listen to "Speechless" you feel like it has nothing to do with "Bad Romance" yet they exist in the same album. Donatella is the biggest filler on the album for me. It's an atrocious song.

It is just my personal opinion, play yourself instrumentals of Donatella and MANiCURE then compare them to TFM insrumentals. They sound quite cheap in comparison. DITD and SHICD slay I think because of the atmosphere they have and great production but again this is just my opinon. TFM is very cohesive because each song talks about different fears: Speechless to me is a fear of loosing a friend/lover, while Bad Romance represents a fear of being lonely. Maybe I didn't get it right, but at least I have some impression. Tell me then what Donatella and Swine have in common? What Aura has in common with Gypsy? Axl Jax 594
Personally I think TFM is a lot better and way more deep. If you listen closely to the lyrics of songs like Monster and Speechless it's about the s-xual abuse she suffered when recording The Fame, and it's genius. Phlop 4,773
I like ARTPOP more. But in terms of cohesiveness, lyrical content, theme, production, TFM is better as a package. ARTPOP has individual songs that trump some of TFM and some of BTW, but its not nearly as strong as them. BYE
ryhanna 3,507
If ARTPOP sold like BTW numbers you flops will keep praising it back from moon to back Can't speak for others, but this isn't true for me. I was underwhelmed with ARTPOP from the moment Applause and Swinefest premiered. It just didn't have… life? I'm not sure, really. I like them more now than I did when they first premiered, and really, really tried to love it because I didn't want to be disappointed in a Gaga record, but meh, it is what it is. Dann 354
You're just embarrassing yourself, please stop. jthorn 37
I think that TFM is actually incredible deep... it's meanings are so hidden and convoluted and that's what makes it such an amazing experience.
Bordeciel 323
I do think a lot of (immature) fans over-praise The Fame Monster because of its commercial success.

"Gypsy is about traveling?" this is what you got from the song?!!!! sorry but . It depends on your definition of better. ARTPOP is in no way deeper or "better" than TFM. For me her "darker" and "deeper" sounding music is her best work. Dance In The Dark is my favourite song in her discography. Are you just saying things like "Dance In The Dark and So Happy I could Die are fillers" to spark controversy or what? Anyway you have a thread called ARTPOP imo > TFM.. Just have to assume you're kidding. :lollipop:
Guest
I agree with you, people on this site are so delusional. They hate ARTPOP because it underperformed… anyway Born This Way > ARTPOP > The Fame Monster > The Fame >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cheek To Cheek
