Guess I could give it a try, but I should have during the holidays, oh well. I just need new pop music now :noparty:

It will be a while until the new pop music :noparty:

You're cute I'll forgive you :hor:

I won't argue which album is better but it's my personal favorite. This is my preference of her albums in order:

1. ARTPOP

2. The Fame Monster

3. Born This Way

4. Cheek to Cheek

5. The Fame

And it's great to have an opinion.

But, I think TFM is better than ARTPOP, because it doesn't have any filler track.

ARTPOP has good songs, tho.

ARTPOP is so underrated by the fans.

and also in general :flop:

This. God, it's like fans don't even want to attempt to appreciate it. I don't understand it. I've seen some fans talk about it like it's just trash. It's insulting tbh, like, did they even listen to the album?

I do want to say that ARTPOP is no where near as deep as The Fame Monster. Not even close, except maybe Dope. From the very, very, very beginning, Gaga herself said that ARTPOP had a major lack of maturity that was a prominent theme in Born This Way. It's almost like she designed it to be the opposite of Born This Way. But she said that from the get-go. ARTPOP is just a fun party record, and it was meant to be that way from the start. Gaga even said as the album release got closer that it was designed to be played start to finish like one long night at the club. Not saying the lack of depth is a bad thing, I'm just saying that was the whole point of ARTPOP.

The lyrics might not be as deep, but so many tracks have amazing productions and it's, overall, such a fun album to listen to! :flutter:

Oh well, they'll probably end up loving it in a year or two. :madge:

Agreed. :applause:

People will start appreciating it as soon as the next album drops. The same thing happened with Born This Way. I remember half of the fan base absolutely hating that album when it came out compared to The Fame and The Fame Monster, and now everyone loves it and says it's their favorite. ARTPOP should get appreciated next era lol

i agree its very very overrated. people say tfm has no fillers, but every album does, since tfm is 8 songs its literally half fillers, half single material lol. its just quite basic of a pop album, the production is lean and simple, and in some places interesting (bad romance, monster, ditd) but it gets very boring and mundane half way through. and in terms of technical songwriting, its her second weakest next to the fame. even the "hello hello baby" in telephone is pronounced wrong. you dont say "HEllo" you say "heLLO". its little things like that, and the mundane choruses like alejandro, and monster, that just show sup par songwriting. and if were talking concept, its hardly there except for monster, bad romance and dance in the dark and maybe speechless, but most of the time its what she said in her interviews constantly that gave the music any conceptuality, some may like that, but to me its dishonest and flighty. like her "suffocation fear" of telephone i think we can all say is a crock. its just a basic pop song that was catchy so she and her label thought "hey, lets get a good verse from bey on it and call it a hit".

ARTPOP is super deep ?

I think the only reason why you put ARTPOP above TFM is because its more recent so it still sounds fresh and not so outdated.

NewYorkCity

1. BORN THIS WAY

2. ARTPOP=TFM

3. THE FAME

I can't compare them to C2C because that' impossible for me. I love C2C, but it is too different to put it in the same raking as the others...

If ARTPOP had fashion, performances and music videos that were as good as the TFM era then the music on ARTPOP would be appreciated SO much more

It's the fact that the ARTPOP era was messy which makes it seem like ARTPOPs music is worse, when actually it is a really good album
