If you wanna discuss the dhimmi status then you're going into a historical run of this term, in most Islamic countries nowadays ( and i'm not mentioning the closed-minded ones) this is not even applied anymore, but when you have a certain majority in a community then it's pretty obvious that they should have a say in what is done but of course without neglecting the minorities and acknowledging their full rights. As for death for apostates then i could tell you that in this particular thing many Muslims find it hard to agree on a certain solution or treatment to people who go with it, for me it's their own will to do so and therefor they should be respected for it and treated like any other human. This is exactly why religion should be separated from politics and the running of a country. You can't tell me that ALL Christians for example support gays and gay marriage. But living in an Islamic country that follows a set of rules (which some are taken from the Qur'aan) then you have to follow these rules regardless of your own point of view towards these rules. The Arab Spring that has been going on for more than three years now is because people are demanding freedom and the right to democracy and development. Clearly you need to pay visits to the Middle East more often, instead of focusing on what Islam thinks of gays or rules that are not even enforced any more except by extremists which most Muslims condemn and do not support. The ignorance of your statement is astounding. If I were to stereotype every Christian the way some people (like you, ignorantly stereotyping Muslims as terrorists saying this image fits them perfectly) then I'd expect to see every Christian walking around with a cross, a bible, and cattle, or they could be nuns and priests reading out biblical phrases. I could be even more ignorant and say every Buddhist wears an orange robe. Almost all Muslims were against Osama Bin Laden, against terrorism and evil in general, and are once again almost all against ISIS.
