I agree.

I don't believe Iggy is more successful than Azealia because she is white, I believe she is more successful because she makes a lot more pop based records than Azealia, which is more marketable, no matter how much more I think Azealia is talented.  :flop:

Don't get me wrong, I'm aware that white privileges still exist, I just don't believe this is an example of it.

but its not the point lmfaoo its not that

Yeah because you have the abaility to understand the thought process of individual human beings based on their taste in music.

Seriously? What a misguided, preconceived notion.

:manicure:

he knows them really well by dealing with that kind of people on this forum. and others and on twitter.

I purposely didn't make a thread for the support AB received as it's a problem BIGGER than what most people here can begin to comprehend and goes far beyond AB v IA but if we're really going to drag this on and on then let's get some more threads going.

Don't even bother, reasoning is hard. It's much easier to just scream "pressed" and go on and on about Iggy's chart success

:awkney: I get his point, but I don't think he gets Azealea's point at ALL

This. I don't get why it's so hard for people to realize the point Azealia was trying to make goes far beyond stan wars :emma:

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

That is what ab is doing to Iggy tbh,

Well, quite rightly. 'Runaway slave master' huh Iggy? That's what she's thinks of herself?

She deserves every bit of backlash she's getting from the African-American community and the hip-hop community. I mean, I'm not even black but I'm a hip-hop fan and I hate her.

'Our culture'...

Will.i.am is not part of hip hop. He is black though so if that's what he means then cool I guess. I don't really think he's educated or versed enough in the issue to comment. He's probably just supporting her because she's successful.

He was unquestionably part of hip-hop for many years, even if he evolved in a more electro-hop and pop direction. He had a career before The End and even before Fergie joined the Peas. So if you are a white SJW who hates Iggy, don't suppose Ms. Banks speaks for ALL blacks.

Will also knows a bit about UK and Oz, having done The Voice in both countries. Likely was the most popular of the 3 male judges on both panels, showing if you have a good attitude race isn't a big deal.

Too late.

well let me give you this

I am latino and I love when people from other countries use latin rythms and sounds in their songs or even latin costumes

I've personally loved everytime Madonna has used latin influences in her songs and clothes, la isla bonita, spanish lesson, spanish eyes, the zillions of times she has used latin clothes in her tours, I love it and I am here for it, it's like a compliment that she seems to appreciate our culture that much

btw I have a question

I  Japanese Culture

I know a lot of their history

I try to learn hiragana, katakana and kanji

I'm always using Japanese words with my family and they find it cute/funny, not with my friends tho

I have a cheap male kimono that someone gave years ago which I use at home to sleep

I'm learning Karate right now

I have the ingredients to make sushi and onigir at home right now

I love anime

I listen to J-POP or K-POP artists singing in japanese like SNSD

am I a bad for this?

He's right that it doesn't matter if you're black ro white. He's wrong where he says she's spreading the culture positively :lmao:

Anything with the word "iggy" or "azealia" in it will turn into a big fat mess. It's just a fact now :coffee:

you genuinely love the culture + appreciate the roots. Iggy steals and claims it all as her own.

No, this is a bigger issue.

I'm not even going to go into it on here because I know I'll be ripped apart for it because I'm white and 'not aloud to speak on the issue'. Just know that it's wider than just what you're all seeing.

He's right that it doesn't matter if you're black ro white. He's wrong where he says she's spreading the culture positively :lmao:

Exactly. He seems to be forgetting the 'runaway slave master' lyric and just the fact that she has muddied the water of hip hop. Now you have every teen white girl thinking they are experts in the history of hip hop because they own The New Classic (a pop record).

Absolutely ridiculous.
