Chic 20,830
But you don't know what they actually feel, :toofloppy: I can't believe people like you still exist, okay maybe you knew at a young age but stop assuming that they are following the same case as you. All they wanted was to be called "John" the whole 'trans kid' may be put on blockers was made by you. they probably don't even understand the concept of pronouns, all of the "call him he" was made up by you without his ****ing consent so shut up. He prefers to be called John, a typically male name, so I'll be referring to him with male pronouns. Maybe you went through a Barbie phase at a young age and it ended but stop assuming they're the same as you. This child could be introspective and intelligent. I merely suggested that this child see a therapist to find out whether or not his claims should be taken seriously, and if they are, then the diagnosis for gender identity disorder should be made and if in fact that all works out, have him prescribed blockers. I'm not saying inject him with blockers and staple a dick to his thighs ffs

I said that he has the POTENTIAL to be transgender and that the diagnosis should be made to see if he is or not. I'm going to call him a he for the time being because he is showing the desire to express physical male characteristics. It's not about pushing an agenda, are you ****ing kidding me? It's called being open-minded to the possibility that this could be a serious hint to this child's future. Do you seriously think that because I'm transgender I want to encourage my child to be trans at the slightest idea that they might be associating in any way with the opposite gender? Are you honestly insinuating that? Do you understand how puberty blockers work? It's not like they're giving him testosterone and anti-feminizing hormones. Blockers just stunt the child's physical development and growth for as long as it takes to determine if this is a phase or not and THEN go through with testosterone treatments if necessary! Sugarfall 3,723
God damn this thread Anyway it's great that Brad and Angelina are supportive, it might be a phase or maybe not. Since the parents are obvs very open minded it really doesn't matter which way it turns out. No one here knows how it'll turn out and the fighting seems silly

Because they might be "trans" literal abuse, I am frightened if this becomes a thing in the future... damaging his development because of something a child might have lightly alluded to. boobtank 9,090
I knew I wanted to have children by the age of 8, does that mean I could have one at 8? No... because i'm not at an age where I can make rational judgments that can impact the rest of my life. A child can decide to commit suicide at the age of 8, and sadly this is the reality of a lot of trans kids that are repressed from being their true self. That's why you let a professional diagnose them rather than just giving them blockers. Making them wait on something they could be sure about is abuse. You might as well be giving him estrogen because puberty will do that for him if it isn't prevented.

I want you to know I'm not against anything or oppossed to anything. I'm open-minded and supportive, but I have some honest questions. You say a child needs to get blockers, but it's chemicals. You put unnecessary chemicals into child's body in order to prevent child's natural development. It is a scary and very important step. I'd be afraid to do this to my child. It's like going against the nature. Aren't those chemicals hamful? What happens to a girl who gets testosterone shots? Is it scientifically approved? You can't just play with your or your child's body like this. It's a big deal. What happens if a child gets blockers for lets say two years and decides not to change the gender? He/she starts to develop naturally as he/she was meant to? But he/she will be two years late already. And what if he/she decides to change the s-x? His/her body was meant to develop in a certain way. but it's forced to develop in different way. isn't it harmful in any way?

It's abuse to not give the child proper treatment if they had the misfortune of being born in the wrong body. Before you scream "abuse", imagine how it would feel to grow up in a strangers body. Once you go through puberty, it's over. The amount of surgery a transgender person would have to have is much higher after the hormones kick in. Some of you are being outright transphobic and ignorant. Some of you bully me and belittle me as well. Wow. What would gaga say to you guys?
