Chic 20,830
Because they want to push their agenda for their own selfish beliefs and force a trans image upon a child which isn't even at an age of consent. Selfish selfish selfish, this a child's life and identity we are talking about here. There's no "age of consent" in gender identity, you are forcing an image of immaturity and lack of comprehension and decision making upon a person you know next to nothing about
Cersei 56
bye a lot of kids know by this age I knew I wanted to have children by the age of 8, does that mean I could have one at 8? No... because i'm not at an age where I can make rational judgments that can impact the rest of my life.
Robotboy 1,700
I wouldn't say he because her parents don't say he. In interviews Angelina has said Shiloh likes being like her brothers and dressing like them but she still addresses her daughter as she or Shiloh. I've never heard her say John or he in interviews. If her parents are comfortable with her being like her brothers and they still use the pronoun she, why would complete strangers use he or call her John. yeah i know :) i was just basing it off if this kid actually indentify as a boy. we dont know. but i was talking in general. Calling her whatever they are called is fine, but she didn't go down to the stores and buy those male clothes themselves did they? Yes let them decide, you're forcing a ****ing pronoun on them at a young age what if this kid grows up, realises what's happened in their childhood and is traumatised at the fact that they now will be forever mis-gendered as a boy when they actually were a girl who was young and unaware? Has a rational viewpoint - ignorant and self absorbed I'm the only one actually giving real support for this child, you're pushing you're own agenda by trying to put a ****ing child in the trans box before they are even able to form their own decisions. IT'S ABUSE this is their child. do you really think they force him to be a boy for publicity or something? im sure they know how to raise their children. if "she"'s just in a phase im sure they will notice. now stop talking **** just because you can. Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.

retroglamx 5,101
It's amazing she's so determined at such young age and that her parents are so supportive of her. Pink flamingos always fascinated me.
doveve 526
How about the real abuse is that they aren't having this child sent to a therapist to be diagnosed officially if he really is transgender so he can start puberty blockers before feminizing effects start to occur? Children know, they ****ing do. I knew. I knew 7 years ago and I know now and I ****ing wish I could have been put on puberty blockers the day I turned 10. What age are people allowed to be taken seriously when they make decisions like this? There is no official age. Puberty blockers exist for a reason and if he is indeed transgender then he needs to start taking them immediately. Stop. How in the world do you know they didn't send her to therapist? I'm sure they did as they can easily afford that. Maybe they have already diagnosed everything. Maybe they will give her blockers when she'll be 10 maybe they don't. Maybe she doesn't even want to go through gender change. Her parents most definitely know who she is and what she wants. But they don't have to tell everything to the media. It's their child's life and it's not ok to publicize it.

Chic 20,830
Maybe at the age where they are a ****ing adult You aren't at a legal age of consent as a child EVER that's how as a law for a multitude of cases By that argument you can say "A child at 8 knows they want to have s-x, so it's fine". As a child you know jack **** about yourself, you shame me for using my personal experiences but when you use yours it's fine? Literally stop it, you are abusing this ****ing child and you've convinced yourself you're being tolerant. Let them live their life how they want and stop trying to put them in the trans box because you want to push your own agenda. Minors should NOT have to suffer through a childhood hell as a gender they don't identify as. The age of consent has to do with s-xual intercourse, are you ****ing kidding me using that as some sort of justification for your claim? The age of consent is the age at which a person is considered to be legally competent to consent to s-xual acts, and is thus the minimum age of a person with whom another person is legally permitted to engage in s-xual activity. If a child loves video games and loves them as an adult, then what has changed? When they say as a child that they love video games, are they completely clueless to that fact? Is that not a part of their identity they realize? If a child says they are male or female then I believe I'm more qualified than you, being an ACTUAL TRANSGENDER INDIVIDUALS who identified as female when I was near the age to the child mentioned in the article. I never shamed you for using your personal experiences, by the way. He is literally living his life the way he ****ing wants, you're the one saying he should be forced to be called by his birth name and identify in a more feminine way. Chic 20,830
BECAUSE THEY ARE A CHILD, THEY ARE LITERALLY IMMATURE FOR GODS SAKE. I fear for the future if you're going to take everything a small child says as their honest belief and ambitions. "Literally immature" by what standards? This child could be intelligent and if they are introspective enough to say something this bold at this age then it should be professionally investigated to see if diagnosis is necessary!Stop. How in the world do you know they didn't send her to therapist? I'm sure they did as they can easily afford that. Maybe they have already diagnosed everything. It was merely a combative argument to his through my own example. I am in full support of him because I know that children do indeed tend to know these things at that age. This is why I said I encourage a therapist's involvement for a potential diagnosis if that hasn't happened already.

All they wanted was to be called "John" the whole 'trans kid' may be put on blockers was made by you. they probably don't even understand the concept of pronouns, all of the "call him he" was made up by you without his ****ing consent so shut up. HAHAHAHAHAH you are unbelievably deluded, get your head straight. A child doesn't know jack ****, children are stupid and dumb and in life they learn and develop. I understand you want a future of more tolerant parents, and before you quote i'm arguing something different it is fantastic that brangelina are embracing the possibility he might be trans. But what an 8 year old wants, at 8 YEARS OLD. Is not a valid want for the rest of their life, if you believe that some children are born knowing everything before they've even hit double figures you are wrong. By that standard you'l look at kids going through emo phases and consider that thats who they'l be for the rest of their life... it's stupid you clearly have spent too much time on tumblr.
