Like, she needs to let EVERYONE know about what she said in the interview. She mentioned how it idn't just Iggy, it's about people taking something from typical black culture and changing it and then leaving black people with no oppurtunities. You’re considered forward-thinking and skilled as a creative. Your skill is unmatched. Now imagine others, whose music is not as good and their craft not as technically good as yours, being awarded while you’re ignored. It would be frustrating. I can sympathize with her on that level. But it happens to whites and males too. But we can't aren't allowed to say "because racism" or "because s-xism" and blame it all on some other group. There are dozens of little advantages and disadvantages (personality, family, timing, luck) that account for out fate. Guest Posted December 19, 2014 Share Posted December 19, 2014 I mean, Iggy refuses to even acknowledge that she is in a privileged position and is able to make a profit out of rap and black culture when there are thousands of other female rappers out there not given the same opportunity and blessing due to the pigmentation of their skin. I mean think about it. There are black girls out there who don't have a chance of being signed while this girl is signed when she can't even freestyle.
