LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, STING! *silence*

I hate the shakey singing/screaming thing she does. She has the ability to belt rock songs really well, I don't know why she insists on screaming. She did it well when she sang with the Rolling Stones:

shes not even screaming that much yall chill!

i must say god bless to those few members who arent little :meow: when it comes to raw passionate vocals.

Mess at you trying to make it seem like liking screaming is a virtue :wtf:

Most people prefer sophisticated vocal delivery, most of us are pop music fans after all

Yeah you can say "raw" and "passionate". Or you know, it can be disturbing and uncalled for.

As fans, we are Gaga's main audience.

She doesn't have to change herself in order to please us completely, (and she obviously doesn't), but we have the right to complain when she messes up, just like how we praise when she does something right.

B*tch went crazy during that performance.

I prefer restrained-Gaga, but then a jolt of craziness towards the end of her performances.

"Sophisticated vocal delivery" and "pop music" do not actually go together in 90 percent of modern pop music LOL.

I've been in love with this.song ever since she introduced it to me.

It was a great performance, but she was a bit dramatic at points.

It's science, bitch

For those of you who have been a fan since the beginning, this shouldn't come as a shock for you. For those of you who started being fans recently, I can see why some of you are perturbed  However, these exaggerated, loud, sometimes obnoxious vocals have been with Gaga from the beginning. They disappeared for a bit, but they are back now. She's theatre. She performs, and confuses people. THAT is the essence of Gaga.

I have to say all these people saying we don't "get" rock are making me cringe. You have no idea what people listen to, and you all sound pretty clueless, to be honest. The best rockers know when it's needed to scream and when it isn't. Gaga clearly doesn't yet. Do you think Sting ever dreamt of singing that song like that? Do you think Bruce Springsteen would scream his way through Sad Eyes?

I actually love it when she does it (during G.U.Y. live, for example, or Swine or whatever), but the songs she's covering are not hers and screaming her way through them doesn't make them sound good. They are classics, they aren't even that rocky, and the screaming is 100% out of place.

So, those who don't like what she's doing with these songs aren't necessarily "ignorant when it comes to rock music". Saying that kind of thing makes you sound ignorant indeed, as if "rock" meant "screaming". It doesn't. Listen to Placebo, HIM, PJ Harvey, Garbage, Nirvana, Hole, Marilyn Manson, Arctic Monkeys, The Cranberries... they all know when to scream and when it's not needed.

And it's not like I didn't like it, I DID! But it'd have been even better hadn't she forced that rocky voice. She's an amazing vocalist, she could have shone. But oh well, luckily we have C2C for that.

Exactly! Since when has pop music been about a "sophisticated vocal delivery"? I'm trying to figure out why anyone would even think that! :toofunny:

Using a Brit gif response just illustrates my point.

I know that's why I used it
