Opinion: Why Is Bill Cosby’s Career Over But Terry Richardson’s Isn’t?

Though at first glance, the two men couldn’t seem more different  Jell-O commercials vs. s-x-party book different  there are remarkable similarities between the scandals surrounding Bill Cosby and fashion photographer Terry Richardson, who’ve separately been accused of predatory behavior by more than a dozen women.

 

Richardson has never been accused of d--gging and raping women, as Cosby repeatedly has, but the photographer’s alleged victims often say “Uncle Terry†used his industry influence and acclaim to coerce them into performing s-xual acts. In many cases, as with Cosby’s alleged victims, there was the promise of a future job. Some of these women said Cosby and Richardson’s staff facilitated or otherwise witnessed the encounters. Many said they were aspiring models at the time. These allegations have been reported in the media for years  Cosby since 2005, Richardson since about 2010.

Since when do internet vigilantes try to have people blackballed from earning a living, instead of letting matters be handled by courts. It's a dangerous trend.

Not saying these situations are ones that aren't creepy and disturbing, but the models did consent to taking their cloths off and to taking these s-xual shots. They weren't d--gged to the point of complete blackouts (or close to it) and then posed for pictures or raped in their passed out state. If they were, these situations would be equal.

 

Add to all of this, the fact that Cosby is seen as "America's favorite Dad", who hid all of his s-x crimes behind the guise of a moralistic role model for conservatives, and you have a very disturbing picture. One that the majority of people aren't going to be able to get past and start laughing at his silly jokes or trust him as a "Dad figure" anymore.

Starting off, the woman was UNDERAGE, did not have any contract with Terry whatsoever, but was immediately pressured into getting naked and possibly perform s-xual acts on Terry. That's ****ed up. The most ****ed up part, however, is the blatant s-xual assault on an intoxicated woman. Alcohol IS a d--g. Sex while under the influence is rape.  

 

Don't cherry pick, the allegations ARE there. It's not just "creepy" as you say, it's straight out s-xual assault and rape.
