gurl, no it's not. 

 

pop music can be refined and tasteful, while cajke/turbo folk always sound like a cheap abomination.

It might be popular in the balkans, but not all that is popular automatically becomes "pop music".

 

There's more to pop than just semantics.

im not saying it just because of it but it is pop. Just different kind than some other songs. BTW has rick influences, ARTPOP has edm influences while "turbo folk" is also pop with traditional influences. Especially modern day turbo folk, there is barely any difference
