However Spotify is a company as well and I'm not a fan of this whole company world. It starts with passion but in the end it always all revolves around money. I mean, I guess that's okay, after all it's her job, but I can't really fully respect someone as an artist when they put monetary interest ahead of their work. It's not like she desperately needs the money Spotify "takes" from her. Personally, if I was a successful artist, I'd want as many people as possible to hear my music, the money would be an extra. Even if I own an album I'll often listen to it from Spotify while I'm at work. All this boils down to is Taylor Swift and her team being greedy. Be happy your music is out there and people can listen to it. This is a format where you can make a small, tiny half million profit from streams. Would the same people streaming those old albums have bought them from iTunes or somewhere else? I don't think so. I'm sure once 1989 stops selling astronomically she'll put it back on Spotify to squeeze as much cash out of it as possible.
