im sorry I tbought the point of making music was for others to hear it not just make more millions. Boo boo Taylor, you'll make a **** ton at your tour next year. Spotify isn't hurting you at all, and it's not going anywhere. Streaming is only going to get bigger and bigger.

She works hard so she deserves money.

Would you like to work 10 hours a day as doctor and not get paid?

Taylor should get it.

To be honest when you see people struggling to feed their family and this greedy girl who's already rich remooving her music to win more money although she wins way more than she needs,,, disgusting

The price difference was paid by Amazon, Gags still got them coins

Taylor has the biggest selling album of this year and she's complaining about not making enough money....

Taylor and her team are in the right in this situation. She is making sure that her work is priced at the best value and that she receives the maximum profit for what she has done. If you go to college and get a master's degree and you have a job offer that is nice but another that pays you more for the same knowledge base and same degree, wouldn't you take the second offer? Just because she has the biggest selling album of the year doesn't make her greedy to ask for more money. Besides, if it is a negative move, it will only hurt her? So it shouldn't matter. Besides, we all know that the presence of Spotify has severely cut down album sales over time and they are currently at an all time low. I personally love that this move was taken by such a huge artist such as Swift. I hope it starts a movement and artists withdraw their music slowly. I could almost guarantee that album sales would increase over time if major artists continued to withdraw their music from Spotify. Piracy plays a factor, but who is going to buy an album when you can stream it whenever you want for free and do it legally? She's making a huge statement by doing this and I personally agree with such a statement.

Idk my opinion on this is, if you are working your ass off every single day (Yes, I think Taylor works her ASS off. Don't @ me) and you're supposed to receive a certain amount of money to compensate you, would you accept a fraction of it? I certainly wouldn't, the amount means nothing to me.

just because she was the first one to remove her music from spotify it doesnt mean that she was the first one to think that way or say it out loud. There've been a lot of artists who spoke against spotify and others streaming websites. it wasnt as revolutionary as u think

Where did I say she was the first one? She was however the first one to antagonize them in her on a national newspaper and make a whole thing about it,  that ultimately facilitated Tidal and started this "let's value music" movement.  But I didn't bump it for that. Just for the **** talkers

Eh Im kinda surprised that ur attacking Taylor Swift on this. It looks like just ur attacking her because she is Taylor Swift.

Tell me ifI'm wrong but isn't many artists complain abt Spotify? Like yes the royalty fee is too low whatsoever. I mean, this is not Taylor issue isnt it, it is Spotify's issue. It's not like Taylor being greedy and want to advantage Spotify. To see the response from artists who support Jay-Z's Tidal, its almost clear thats there is something wrong with Spotify. Maybe Spotify's practice has been unfair because it doesnt divide the royalty fee fairly and continues to make Spotify monopolize the revenue.

I dont know this is bare assumption, I dont doe Spotify (not available in my country) and dunno if Spotify that dominant or not, I mean, we have Youtube isnt it?

And Spotify does not equal "Free" -

- there are many premium subscribers. I seriously have no idea why people even use the free version, since it has ads and only allows playing the of the music a certain number of times (or whatever, I have no idea, I've never used that version).

I think the free version should be even more restrictive, though. It should be more like a small demo, and not something you can use every day.

No, with the free one you can listen to whatever you want as much as you want on a computer. It has ads but they come on like after every 5 songs you play, and they are usually only 15 seconds. On mobile you can only listen on shuffle mode.

Premium is basically just no ads, can select music on mobile, and listen offline.
