EXCXSXE 0
Reminding people that even if he's elected person of the year, he's still still an homophobic person who isn't a good president ? it doesn't have to actively work against him, just reminding people that he shouldnt be praised is already something Person of the year isn't necessarily an honour... It certainly doesn't seem like it in this case. Did you read the OP? Stalin and Hitler have both been given the title by Time...
MelbHawker 6,583
Person of the year isn't necessarily an honour. Yeah but in society these days it's normally spoken with a positive connotation.

Maybe to people who don't understand that the title is "for better or for worse"... People who probably don't follow current events or read TIME magazine in any case... I know it's not an honour necessarily, but i'm sure some people see it like if it was one that's why reminding people how terrible he is isn't a bad thing
brizoda 4,177
I don't see how that productively contributes to LGBT issues tbh, but that might just be me. I'm aware, I just think that to choose a man who negatively influenced LGBT issues as the most influential of the year is sending a rather uncomfortable message. Call me old-fashioned, but I still prefer inspiring figures as discussion topics. you're right
