On topic: I hate how people see gay people, especially gay men, as over s-xualized and sassy beings. The average gay guy who goes to his average job and gets home to watch the same tv shows and eat the same food as a straight guy gets overshadowed by the sassy and forever horny gay guy. The media loves him and he makes it easier to hate gay men. Trying to get that very guy's attention by stripping and tweeting stuff out of the blue IS exploitation. If you really care about 'gay' rights, then do something and don't try to get our support bh stripping because we are more than the instincts society defines us as.

:applause: so much on point here

Male artists have been exploiting teenage straight girls for years and no one complains about that. Female pop stars have been exploiting gay males for years and no one complains about that either. But now people complain when a male pop star tries to get attention from gay men?

Not everyone has to join the LGBT(etc) movement. I'm glad there are straight artists who treat the LGBT people like normal human beings.

No, he doesn't. Homophobes are gonna hate gay men with or without Nick Jonas.

Those sassy and forever horny gay guys are the ones who "give a bad image" to the gay community, but that's not fair either. Being sassy and forever horny is not a bad thing, so who cares if homophobes hate gays more?

Gaga and Madonna have made it "easier to hate gay men" too. They have portrayed them as over s-xualized human beings in videos like Alejandro or Justify My Love.

But no one bats an eye when a female does a racy photo shoot or video that is obviously targeting the straight male audience. People have a problem with everything. :spin:

Not familiar with the last popgirl photoshoot featuring pulled down pants and crotch throttling. Posing is fine for either s-x, but when you're holding your genitals in a flaunting manner, it's only ever for one reason.

It was a tribute to Mark Whalberg right?

How does that make it any worse than these?

Miley did a whole video where she was literally masturbating. :usrs:

It's science, bitch

Miley got called out on the video though. Hence the word controversy.

That rihanna photo is... yeah.

The Gaga ones aren't s-xual at all. Shes covering her vag and nips. The Jonas version of this would be nipple pinching and vag tugging.

I was not referring to Nick, dear. I was talking about the sassy and flamboyant gay man.

Of course it's not a bad thing to be who you are, I just don't like how everyone generalizes the gay community because of people like Nick making us look like over s-xualized beings. And yes, that includes Gaga and Madonna. I never said that they are perfect, so I'm not sure why you mentioned them.

I mentioned them because the gay community should not care what their haters think. Being a flamboyant gay man is not a bad thing and being horny 80% of the time isn't bad either. The gay community doesn't have please society.

Miley only got called out.because it was so.extreme. It's done all the time. Look at Katys Roar video where she's strolling around in a skimpy bikini with her huge tits are practically hanging out. Or the Applause video which features the same thing and even close ups to her vagina.

As far as those pictures go, if I were a horny guy (which most guys are), Gaga's hand would not stop me from imagining all sorts of things. At least Nick wasn't naked spread eagle in his shot.

It's all the same to me, that's why I honestly don't see the big deal.

I agree that it's not a bad thing (as I said earlier), but I absolutely hate generalizations and can't stand the fact that they are the reason why people see us as perverts when we are so much more. I can't stand the fact that so many people don't believe in full equality because they think being gay is just a lifestyle consisting of throwing shade and thinking about penis all the time. It always has to take a close friend or family member for those people to realize that that's just the way the media projects us. It's just like everyone believing that black people are all thugs when many of them are professors, scientists, and teachers. So yeah, when it comes to my rights I WILL speak up and say that I dislike people like Nick Jonas making it harder for us to get full gay rights.

Getting naked = pandering to gays?

this.

Nick Jonas isn't pandering to gay audiences just by taking his clothes off. Gays can be so full of sh*t sometimes.
