How is it their fault if the dog chewed through the crate?  :awkney: It's not like they misplaced the crate he was in; to me that'd be a bigger deal. Still sad though, hope the dog is found.

What the **** kind of crate was the dog in that he could chew through? :wtf:

Airlines treat animals like ****. They have literally killed hundreds of animals because they couldn't be bothered to treat them humanely, and they receive little to no punishment. It's definitely their fault, and this is one of the lesser offenses they have committed against animals.

I read up on it and apparently airlines don't provide the crates. It would have been one provided by the owners. If the dog got nervous and agitated, chewed the crate and escaped; it's not the workers' fault that the dog was roaming free. I would place the blame on the owner for not providing a proper high quality crate. It's probably how they saw it too, and why they only offered the compensation that they did.

The airline didn't lose the dog, the dog ran off :emma: he shouldn't have forced the dog to sit in a plane for however many hours :emma:

Cody Draco

I would sue them for like 20 grand. :manicure:

You can get at least two dogs for $200. I feel he was fairly compensated.

Are you serious or trolling? :lmao:

If that's the case then it was mostly the owners fault for having such a bad crate. If they provided pictures of the crate then it would seem more plausible. At this point there is no confirmation that that's true, but honestly it probably is.

Either way it doesn't change the fact that animals are not treated as living beings by airlines.

Economy

$200 is nothing to the airline it's not even a ticket kind of insulting

agreed

They shouldn't have offered any money if that's how much money they would offer.  :wtf:

Just find the dog. It should not be that difficult. :grr:

yeah... either offer nothing, or offer a lot more

$200 just sounds super and outer cheap
