Gay couple kicked off London bus by driver. Calls them not 'real men'

I fail how to see resorting to violence would be an easy solution to the problem. Just because someone doesn't feel the need to throw a right hook whenever someone says a bad word against them it doesn't mean they're weak or to blame.

This situation is being covered by mainstream media, and TFL are investigating it. He'll probably lose his job. I'd say that would stop him from doing it again.

I didnt say they should react as I would. If they'd stood their ground perhaps? But no, as usual the gays run away like pussies.

Your posts heavily implied that your 'solution' was the ideal way to go.

I can't believe you're generalising all gays :smh: Genuinely unbelievable.

Yes and im evil etc etc etc. Bore.

The fact is that they didnt do anything. There are people that do this that arent in a service job, or in any job at all. How will they deal with it when they get abuse from those people? They'll go home and cry into their carebears.

It's just ridiculous how you're spinning this on the couple as if they're the bad guys.

I guarantee any one of you simple-minded ones claiming you would have responded violently wouldn't have done a single thing if this actually happened to you. :giggle:

Its the gays fault. If it were me on that bus then the driver would not have known what hit him. He would be thrown off the bus.

Gay men need to man up and stand up for themselves.

"Standing up" for yourself with violence will just cause people to hate the gay community.

So, no, that's a horrible idea. Legal action is much more effective.

The driver can disagree with homos-xuality but he can just kick em out. Not his bus or his business

Absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe that homophobia is still a thing in 2014.

This kind of reminds me of this one time when I was on the subway in Montreal (which, as you may know, is one of the most gay-friendly places on the planet), and there was this gay couple holding hands, and then some guy started shouting at them, telling them how disgusting they were and that they were going to hell for being the way they are. Well, the couple didn't take his crap and one of the guys told him to shut up and mind his own business. But what you need to understand is that not everyone is confident enough to respond to hatred like that. I mean, it's bad enough that the bus driver made a scene in front of all the passengers, perhaps the couple just didn't want to bring even more attention to themselves, so they decided to just get off the bus to avoid complicating the situation, because who knows how far things could've gone.

I like that you added "in a violent manner" to quantify posting. Ive already said in this thread that they dont necessarily have to use violence but for ****s sake, stop letting people walk over you because not everyone that does it will be answerable to police.

If this had been a black couple thrown off for being black do you think they'd remain silent and scurry off to police? No.

Preach.

In my messy era.
