Ronk 14,762 Posted October 17, 2014 Share Posted October 17, 2014 If you look at Gaga as a person, with emotions, cares, dreams for the future, and hopes for a happy life, then I ask you this: Do we make her happy or do we make her sad? Gaga's relationship with her fans is personal to her on an emotional level. Friends stay with you through thick and thin, through the good times and the bad times, and are there to lift you up when you are down. Friends may not like everything you do and every decision you make, but still like you as a person. Friends don't drag you and try to hurt your feelings when you see some things differently. So I am wondering if negativity in this fanbase has hurt Gaga, of if she is able to ignore that and just think about the good times like when she is on stage in concert. Retep 0 Posted October 17, 2014 Share Posted October 17, 2014 I'm sure just like with certain friends we have, there's some that are great and make your day and every little second; and then on the flip side there's also some you always question why you stick with after they do some things or just treat you sh*tty. The good likely outweighs the bad though in the long run, she wouldn't have a damn Paw on her back if she didn't see some happiness in it and what it means to her fanbase. But about Gaga I think she gets a lot of support from her fans. But also I think she can feel hurt and betrayed when fans are so critical ans selfish. That's really beautiful what you said.. I agree however that she is so sensitive that I wonder how she manages to cope with all the hate so yes she must be amazingly strong. But I do think sometimes even things monsters say can hurt her and make her sad but there are a lot less moments than the good ones online or especially at her shows. Her fans run the gamut from very supportive and treat Gaga as almost a "friend" of sorts, to people that are fans of only one eras version of Gaga and complain because the real Gaga had moved on; because they are fans of a version of a pop star and not of Gaga the person. People that attend her shows always lift her up though. She should just stay away from reading social media and not allow it to influence her. I think Gaga thinks of her fans more as friends of sorts rather than as customers. I think that shows and is why fans think of her as a friend of sorts. People who look at Gaga as a commodity would not understand this thread. Sometimes I feel she should stay away from social media to avoid the insulting and rude comments. But Gaga appreciates constructive criticism to get a sense of what fans like and dislike. I just hope she feels the meanly worded comments are out of immaturity or are coming from trolls, not fans. I hope she doesn't allow them to bring her down emotionally. I hope her sadness a few months ago came from how the people around her prevented her from producing the singles and videos she wanted, rather than from reading the hate on social media. You have fans that support literally everything she does, then you have fans who support mostly everything but arent afraid to give their opinion, and finally you have the fans are complain and are critical towards everything she does. Her fans want her to be happy and successful ARTPOP the album does not equal depressed. She loves the album. And because it didn't perform AS WELL as her previous albums, that does not mean it's bad.
