Yes I am! I enjoyed the album, even if jazz isn't something I listen to often. Also let's not act act like the C2C replaced a pop era. lol And it's good for Gaga to get some positivity from the media tbh. I think collaborating with Tony really helped her. She's happy and I'm happy for her.

I absolutely love Cheek to Cheek, it's so different to what she's previously done. Plus, it showcases her voice way more, which I think critics have picked up on a lot more. I just feel like she's gotten a little more respect musically for the album, maybe?

You can really tell that the album makes her so happy and proud. That really shines through when I listen.

I used to be a huge fan of pop music and thats how I became a fan.

 

But pop music became kind of boring and repetitive and ARTPOP didn't impress me much.

 

On the other hand, Cheek To Cheek is such a musical refreshment! It's on constant replay and I love the praise she's finally getting for her raw talent.

Do not get me wrong I would have preferred a pop album, but if it makes her happy then so be it. Plus, the album is a steady era - great performances, outfits, good reception and was #1. It does not have drama like ARTPOP did.

bought the album on itunes, the standard copy, the deluxe edition, the starbucks edition, and the vinyl and I don't really care at all about this era unless she goes on tour again
