SISTERV 3,887
I will be honest.....wasn't a huge fan at first but looking back he has been both loyal and hardworking for Gaga. He does have good range in what he can produce. I feel exactly the same. I feel like the melodies they create together are very geat, but then they fail at producing them. I like Applause, but i feel like it could have been a Show Must Go on-kind of pop hit if better executed. That intro is just epic, but the beat seems quite basic to me... I think DWUW is one of Gaga's best songs, but I guess she has to work with more experienced producers, who can take profit of Gaga's ideas potential as much as possible. He helped produce The Edge of Glory and that song was a hit. I still see people singing that on singing competition shows ALL THE TIME.
Dominic 11,922
Not at all, he's made some good tracks but his efforts on ARTPOP seemed a little dated and now even moreso, I'd really like either RedOne (for the charts obv) or someone completely new. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

VforVendetta 2,024
You don't hear Calvin ft. Kelis in Applause? Ok, ear check for you. And in what world was Roar well received? Commercially, obviously. Money makes the world go 'round, but in addition to that, nobody was really very interested in Applause' dated sound. It was not only dated, but if it'd come out at the time when the sound was relevant, it wouldn't have really smashed anyway because it's simply not very good. The production was NOTHING like Bowie at all. Nothing. We're not talking vocals, unless DJWS sang on the track. If the song was as amazing as people are making it out to be, why didn't it have a huge commercial and cultural impact? It's one thing to like the song - I don't really hate it - but it's not very good at all, from a production point of view. So every amazing song has cultural impact? Are you serious or you really try to ridicule yourself? For the promotion it had and the time in Gaga's career the song did amazing and I won't write down the achievements again. The song is amazing and the instrumental is one of the best things in Gaga's whole career, sometimes the simpliest move is right and Applase has it's way to never get old. The fact that you don't like the song doesn't mean that you can be a d1ck so sit down and try not to be your spoiled self the next time you decide to post.
