British-Irish boy band One Direction nabbed three AMAs -- Artist of the Year, Favorite Band/Duo/Group, Favorite Album: Pop/Rock -- Sunday night in Los Angeles. 1D's dominance shouldn't have surprised anyone -- the AMAs are fan-voted, and since Directioners are extremely active online, their victory was all but assured before the night started. 1D tied with Katy Perry for the most wins at the ABC awards show this year. She won Favorite Female Artist: Pop/Rock, Favorite Artist: Adult Contemporary and Single of the Year with "Dark Horse."
