Gaga isn't a force to reckon with anymore. Rih, Katy, Bruno esp. Taylor, etc can release low quality music but can still smash. But Gaga tried that in ARTPOP to test if she could still smash, unfortunately she failed. I mean I cannot think any excuses why AP didn't smash.

Yeah some of you are right, she needs to write and make those high quality music again. She should also avoid those over produced noisy productions. Her smashes have simple productions anyway. :ohwell:

Those artists mentioned and many others have had smaller hits than those on ARTPOP and then still came back and smashed with just the right single. Applause and DWUW were significantly bigger than multiple singles on PRISM, UJ, Unapologetic, and BEYONCE.

Tell me who could make and impact, DWUW did, at least in Europe, it was huge radio hit, despite low promo, not talking about video scrapping, peple loved that songs, and still do, just look at Spotify, even my radio plays Applause and DWUW more than some basics from Prism, for example.

I'm sorry i love Gaga but i won't get delusional for her. Those albums you mentioned have obviously far bigger success than AP. The fact that most of them are more or nearing 2M pure album sales is enough to validated my point.

ARTPOP era is an okay era. If only it had crossed 1M mark and DWUW video got released hitting 200M views too tho, maybe i would see it as a great era.

I'm sorry, but you are completely wrong, if you followed Gaga during ARTPOP, you would know there are PLEANTY of reasons why it wasn't commercially successful as it should have been and it wasn't in Gaga's power... Well, most of them..

 

Anyways, a lot of monster + THE MEDIA especially would appreciate ARTPOP so much more if its sales were bigger, so the music is more than fine, it's on Gaga standards and that's amazing..
