34,000 first week of Who You Are

Alive - idk

But now she has Bang Bang, so yeah it's a mess

She shares Bang Bang with two other big singers and it's not the type of song that sells. Jessie J has been dissapointing anyway. She betrayed her music for commercial success and generic songs with her last two albums. She deserves to flop.

Bad Monster Kid

the 6 top debuts + Jason Aldean + Barbra: we'll be #9 in the best case, #10 in the worst case.

Top 10 for the first Month is great. I'm hoping the PBS special will make it 5 weeks in the top 10. Anybody know the ratings for the other "Great Performances" that have aired so far?

Nobody said anything like that though about cheek to cheek and ARTPOP in this thread this past couple of days

yes they did, I just didn't quote it cuz I don't want to be rude/personal

Why do u think I even commented on that..  I'm not arguing anymore.

maybe C2C will sell more in its 4th week as Jessie in her debut week and with a hit single on radio lol

live each day like Gaga might drop an album

Pure Adrenaline

Yes cuz C2C will take double the time to reach Gold even with the holiday sales, whereas ARTPOP did it in a small amount of time which is NORMAL for a POP album and C2C's steady sales are normal for a Jazz Album and the 2 albums are not comparable to begin with.  I don't like when people use the word Longevity for anything :skull:

Like someone will be selling 20k a week for 4 months and people will say "The longevity"  and BTW will sell 5M in 1 hour and people will say "frontloaded" which out of context sounds like the album with the 20k is way more successful than BTW - NO.

too much time on ATRL  :creepflop:

It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

Nobody is mentioning Sam Smith. He has a good chance of outselling C2C next week. His first two singles are in the Top 10 of itunes and his album is at 7 and 22.

Did he have another promo spot this morning?

It's not about pop vs jazz. It's that older fans buy physical albums which is spread out over several months, while younger fans pre-order or buy week one digitally.

Also ARTPOP sold to an existing market (for Gaga dance-pop) but had little appeal beyond that, while C2C has a larger market of Gaga fans not into jazz and jazz fans not into Gaga that can be won over.
