Always the same people. I hope Jesus will touch your hearts :sara:

And you guys missing things like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92QFcpy0XC4

Nothing more intense than a big worship

nn :lmao:

exactly, and so we should. the burden of proof is on the person who makes the claim that something is real. i don't have to disprove a god, you have to prove one. and if you can't do that, then i cannot believe it.uh... i think plenty of people deny that. show me some credible evidence for "demons". it's the same as the god question. burden of proof is on you.or you're just projecting discoveries of things onto said holy books because you want it to be true. there's nothing sophisticated about the "science" of any holy book. which is not surprising at all considering the time frame and how much we now know.

your argumenst always slay me tbh

I can't understand how so many people believe in God (if you mean that person by "God") and the creation of the world  This is all a fairytale made 2 thousands years ago. People like to believe in unreal things and create pretty stories and legends

I respect beliefs, but they don't make any sense

However, I believe that science has not discovered a LOT of things. And I believe there is some sort of energy/time that the science will probably never discover. Just be positive, be kind to others, there is an energy exchange between all of us, I feel. Let's just make a world the better place rather than fight because of religion

There is definitely something out there, but it is not a human sitting in the clouds like many believe :rip:

I honestly believe any countries that embed religion into the school curriculum are almost disgusting. It is not  okay to be giving children and teenagers false information! Learning about creationism instead of evolution/the big bang theory etc... will hinder the success these people can have in the world.

I'm all for practising religion at home, but it should not be brought into education as viable science :eww:

well his arguments at least here are flawd. "Religions believe in miracles which is incompatioble with science". Not necessairily, if there were a powerful being that could control things at the molecular level, why would it be scientifically impossible just because we humans cant do it?

Also lets assume there is no religion that is right, or that no one religion has all the right beliefs... that in itself doesnt prove that there is no God

now his long speech i cant say because i havent heard it. Im only saying this from what was posted on the OP :coffee:

this so much, all these people are biased by the bible's magic mentions and bs that was written for people with a very immature mentality, if the bible was scientifically accurate, noone back then would have understood it and t would have been seen as a lie from day on, it had to be, lets say, magical, for people back then to accept it, there was no other way,  but who says God cant work trough evolution? when you cook something, you use a recipe, well what if physics laws are God's recipe?

so there is just no way for anyone to ever prove if God is real or not

i was with you till then. :P why do you believe that? and make the assertion that there is definitely something out there? because there's no evidence to suggest that at this point in time. gaps in knowledge cannot suggest that either. so to say there is definitely something out there is still using a kind of faith that you were critical of.

so you agree that the bible is scientifically inaccurate, therefore wrong, and uses hocus pocus false magical nonsense to convince people to believe in it? then we agree. scientific accuracy and scientific inaccuracy can't both be true at the same time. adam and eve is either true or it isn't. and it turns out it isn't true. don't try and say people had to be taught lies/things that are 100% FALSE for a good reason, because that makes no sense.

nooooo , evolution has been scientifically proven

just because you choose to disagree with the fact, doesn't mean it's a belief, creationism is the 'fairytale'

can u link me to the religion thread? I have some questions and don't want to clog this thread up :)

do you wash your hands when you use the bathroom? do you trust germ theory? let's just say that's a belief then too. maybe god's angels exist in water and kill the bacteria with invisible swords. is that a reasonable thing to say?

I remember we've talked about it :rip: But I just have had several positive personal experiences with it.

Or maybe it is just a placebo effect.

Would you take a pill believing that it will cure you and set yourself in a positive mood, or would you just take it with no emotions?

Sometimes a little bit of belief in the good future never hurts  Good mood, good energy, good health. I just think that thinking positively and believing in the great future is just good for your health even if it is sometimes delusional. That's what I define in "energy"

Also, science cannot simply have discovered everything in this world. There are many many great interesting discoveries about ourselves and space in the future, I'm sure

we? you and i? i have no recollection of this hehe.

not believing but hoping. not getting my hopes up either, but just hoping. if i didn't hope it would make me better then i wouldn't take the pill, would i? :P

not belief, but hope and aims. because belief in the unknown is not rational, but hopes and aims are and are valuable. i think that thinking positively is good for you too, but never deluding yourself.
