If she wanted to dominate the charts, she could comply with Max Martin productions and Iggy Azalea features. If you are not going to play ball with the industry, then you must forfeit some of your ambitions in business. Her success was always odd to me. I never understood how the conservative parts of America embraced Poker Face or Bad Romance. They did. It seemed a perfectly whirlwind of media success. Somehow that happened. Gaga did not make it happen. The music wasn't better. PR and pop culture trends merged to create a resoundingly successful moment. If Gaga stays her course, there is a chance another moment like that could come. But honestly, you cannot make it come. Not without tremendous artistic compromise.
