craig 680
“Ultraviolence,†Lana Del Rey: It’s a fine album and one that showed that Del Rey has staying power and isn’t just a flavor of the month. Plus, Grammy voters like to think they’re hip and Del Rey has hipster cred.A bigger commercial disappointment that ARTPOP, and hipsters turned on Lana in 2012.I think C2C has a better shot. Putin 0
C2C should win. Or Sam Smith. Those are the only albums that clearly took a while to write (although not by the people who made the album in Gaga's case!) but they're the only ones with solid songs. I don't think Beyonce should even get a nom. Half of the album is slurring. You havent even heard C2C yet. There are Jazz categories in Grammys tho, C2C will sweep them. Its not bigger commercial disappointment when it opened with 182k after BTD era (which opened with 77k, barely reached platinum and created only one #6 single). Thats huge accomplishment for artist like her to outsold promoting, numerous-hits having artists like Maroon 5, Ariana Grande etc. You dont have to be shady everytime someone else than Gaga is considered to be nominated. thefamebitch 834
I don't think they'll win Album of the Year but I definitely think they can win Best Jazz Vocal Album
Creyk 17,817
I don't think they'll win Album of the Year but I definitely think they can win Best Jazz Vocal Album Gaga never wins AOTY so no surprise there Besides, this is a cover album Not even new songs It would not be right for them to win it. I mean we would be happy for the queen, but it would just be wrong
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
Why is everybody obsessed with Beyoncé? Cause it's a really great album and the release was a pop culture event.
Vernier 3,786
Surely there can't be that much competition in the jazz categories I don't think they'll get an AOTY nom tho :noparty: Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn
Robinladen 1,527
You havent even heard C2C yet. There are Jazz categories in Grammys tho, C2C will sweep them. But Tony has never been nominated for a jazz category. I think Cheek to Cheek will have to go for Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
PopBitch 1,218
The River & The Thread,†Rosanne CashThis is quite artistic and got an 87 Metascore. It would be an underdog, though. She's a New Yorker but took a road trip with her husband from Memphis to Arkansas. Sometimes, not often, the Grammys gives it to an older artist and/or underdog. I predict Beyonce.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5PzW1ZkGlI
