It made GaGa (or at least her team) look very manipulative. A lot of people lost respect because of that, I know I did.

That's very strange. Most people get all of their music for FREE.

You would have to be a very petty person to care whether a pop star's album is $1.00 or $10.00

If Jonna Lee decides to sell the new iamamiwhoami album for 99 cents, you're telling me you would "lose respect" for her?

Edge of glory video. But looking back at the BTW era, we were really, really spoiled compared to the ARTPOP era.

b!tch I've been on this site since Telephone

Yeah, the BTW era was sort of messy but it could have been much worse

Yeah, people wanted the TFM kind of album even now.

But that time as soon as MotorcycleGa was shown, all hells breaks loose :laughga:

If it looked like it was done in an attempt to inflate sales numbers than yes I would (i haven't liked all of her new songs anyway). I buy all my music because it shows the record company that it's an artist worth investing money in.

I love GaGa, I buy all her albums and I saw artrave over the summer I just remember a lot of people I know criticizing her.

Heres how I look at it. If GaGa and Katy Perry released an album close to the same time as eachother, but katy ended up releasing it on amazin for .99 cents the numbers of "who sold more" would be incredibly biased.

I wanted to see the album at full price so that I could say yeah look how many albums gaga sold. Now whenever people talk about the sales of Born This Way there is ALWAYS a mentioning of the 99 cent ordeal. If it hadn't happened, people would just talk about how much the album slayed in total sales. Please don't misconstrue what I say as me attacking GaGa, I just really wish that the pop music world could have seen exactly how well she did without having to include that a bunch of the albums were sold because they were insanely discounted  :)

I love the Judas video and performances, but I think it stalled the album's momentum a lot. Once again, I think Gaga needs more control over the single choices.

There were so many....

Marry The Night had flop written all over it. Should've never been a single.

She will never live down the BTW/EY controversy. The Madonna comparisons were already there, especially given the Alejandro video, but she and label brought that wrath upon themselves thinking no one was going to say anything about the song.

Born This Way should've never been a single. Given it was her comeback after TFM, ANY single would've slayed the way it did. Such a shame all that fame was given to an unworthy song.

Honestly, TEoG or Schieße should have been the debut single.

Best decision all era was Yoü & I.

I don't think there was any mistake during this era. People (GP) we're just turned off by the music. I was too. It was kind of a weird transition
