tokyodisko 0
The point is it isn't a majority, even on this site. It is a very vocal minority making all the noise. The goal of this side project is not the same as a solo major label release. There are more benefits and possible positive outcomes that have nothing to do with the amount of albums sold or any kind of radio play. This album is very different than the rest, in many ways. No, she didn't imply anything. She said she would do a smaller type tour for C2C and Tony is the one who was talking about another jazz album. Gaga is signed with a major record label, so even if she wants to do another one, she will probably have to wait a while. There are time frames that artists have to abide by, so they will hold her to the typical time frame. This side project is just a little something extra we are getting, like other artists might do a Christmas album between major releases. Some fans of these other artists like Christmas music...some don't. No one is going to make them buy a Christmas album or follow the performances. They can be mature about it all and just wait until the next album comes out. Wow thanks again for summarizing my point in your own words on something we agree upon. But no, on the other part it is a majority. I think most people are indifferent to it. On here it is obvious a decent amount, but one poll with maybe, what, 100 people taking it, won't give an accurate representation. It'll probably even manage #1 in the US, but this isn't a major release. Most of her fans are indifferent or "betrayed". The ones who like it are also very vocal. It doesn't mean the album is going to do well though or that people really enjoy this in comparison. Like I said and you needlessly repeated, people just have to wait. Just because you feel that way doesn't mean "most" feel that way. I'm looking forward to C2C actually. I've liked jazz music since I was a kid. The "majority" you speak of needs more taken into account than a damn poll on a Gaga fansite that only a fraction of users took.
2007 5,291
Isn't Gaga the one who keeps repeating that she wants to make her fans happy and she makes music for her fans? Clearly, the majority is not happy now and some of those people are getting personally attacked by Gaga herself. Doesn't that make her a double liar? good, they can do this fan base a favour and leave too, they're just a pain in the ass, all they do is complain and doesn't even really support her, she'll gain more jazz fans anyway P.s I don't mean all the ppl who doesn't like/into jazz or CTC (like my self), but I really do appreciate her work and give it a listen, I mean the ppl who keep nagging on what she should do or how it must be done
Mythos 3,199
There are so many points about that interview that i really don't like. 1. Tony seeing her crowd live and monsters going crazy for her... 10 minutes later he went to her backstage and told her he wants to do a album with her. Then she telling how tony just wants her voice and time, such a good friend. Well, he wants her audience... 2. Tony telling her that we all have ups and downs, success comes and goes, just sing for you, for music... what the hell have we have been talking all the time? (well, many of her fans) What have we been through? All the born this way part, where she told us stories like how girls made fun of her hair, and how much this affected her, her body issues and so on. It's like we didn't grow together, became stronger... The part with "Tony saved my life" now seems kinda just like a stunt to promote the jazz album, i don't actually believe it. She can do whatever she wants, and what ever makes happy, and she should be happy. But, when she tries to involve the monsters into jazz, make us preorder it, listen to everything she is doing on the jazz album, this is when i ask her why? For whom is she doing this record? Her fans are young people, most of them will never get allong with jazz, and she should accept that.
Kermit the frog 1,921
good, they can do this fan base a favour and leave too, So that's what you do to someone you love? You leave them when they do sth you don't like or when they disappoint you?
somechick 1
So that's what you do to someone you love? You leave them when they do sth you don't like or when they disappoint you? If you add that part to the last paragraph you wrote that doesn't even make sense and he's an 89 year old guy who has accomplished so much in his career, why do you think he'd try to get an audience full of "young people" (as you put it, but I don't agree because Gaga has an extremely diverse age range of fans). We know she was depressed at the end of last year, so what's not to believe?

Dunk96 2,526
If Gaga sang Jazz for the rest of her career I feel that would be a kick in the face towards her fan base who are very much fans of her for her pop. However, there's nothing wrong with her trying new things, and dabbling in jazz if that's what she wants to do. I mean, we're getting NEW MUSIC which we otherwise wouldn't have got if she wasn't collaborating with Tony, so I'm not complaining. I agree though, if I was Gaga and saw so many negative comments from fans about a project that hasn't even been released yet, I would feel so disheartened. Gaga quite rightly takes her artistry very seriously, it's bad enough that she receives so much media hate, nevermind from her fans. My advice to these people: Just wait. Listen to it when it comes out. Don't like it? Don't listen to it. I didn't think I would like JazzGa but I really like what she's released so far. Just give it a chance.. PS WE SHOULD REMEMBER GAGA IS HUMAN LIKE THE REST OF US Have a little empathy..

Brooke Hoegan 1,018
OMG I'm really starting to worry about my mental health cause I'm constantly, like every two days or so, seeing a new thread about telling fans to fukc off from C2C, Gaga, accusing other fans of being rude, not empathetic, whiny, b---hy, BUT WHERE ARE THOSE THREADS / THOUSANDS OF POSTS you all are talking about ? am I blind ? am I stupid ? or do I have some mental problem and see much more fans complaining about other fans whining than actual whining from those 'fake fans' although it's the other way round? help me please, brigthen my mind :emo:

No. You accept them as they are, support them in any way you can, and life goes on. You certainly don't complain about them every chance you get, though. (not saying that you specifically are doing this. just in general)
Stefani328 321
Gaga is happy with jazz. She's enjoying herself. I don't think anyone is being forced to like jazz. If you don't, you don't. If you do, you do. I just don't like how people feel the need to suck the fun out of everything. Damn, let the girl have her jazz.
Stefani328 321
The bottom line for me, is that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Music is subjective and not everyone is gonna like the same genres of music. However, what really irks me is when you have people CONSTANTLY saying **** about C2C, its not just their opinion anymore, its not about the fact they dont like jazz its about them feeling as if gaga has 'betrayed' them or whatever because shes not doing pop music. 'We got her where she is today' 'Well pop music is what got her, her fans' So she isnt allowed to try something else? To be quite truthful gaga doesnt owe her fans anything, but she always has given us what weve wanted (musically i mean) so why cant you just let her do what she wants for an album? If you dont like Cheek To Cheek or jazz then theres nothing wrong with that, just wait patiently for the next album please rather than flooding the forum with negative comments and whining. Hexxx 2,244
I don't mind gaga going in other directions and doing what she wants with music but I'm afraid of how it might sound. Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
