so, once she fought trying to ban Don't Ask Don't Tell, called out the Russian government, but now she's suddenly OK with death penalty for being gay, 'cause it's their culture? :awkney:

is she really in it for money?

someone explain please tbh

They were talking about her dressing up nothing about gay rights.

You're comparing apples with pears.

Yeah, I know, but this GENERAL CONCEPT "I need to respect their culture, no matter what" really stroke me and it is against her previous activism and charity. "Why fight homophobia, AIDS, poverty? It's just their unique culture that we need to respect."

Gaga performed shows throughout the US while the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy was still in place. She performed hundreds of shows in states and in countries where gay marriage wasn't or isn't legal. If she waits until a state or country agrees with her social and political beliefs completely, she won't perform anywhere...not even in the US.

Nowhere did Gaga say she supported the death penalty for being gay. :smh:  Quit putting words in her mouth and making ridiculous claims like that up. If performing in Dubai means that, then Madonna and Elton John both support the same things!

But she did Speak Against It all the time. And more than once did she use the stage to promote her message (Russia most notably, I guess). But she won't have that kind of talk in Dubai, because it's dangerous (if she hadn't already explicitely been told not to do so). She wasn't used to such compromises before.

I get it, the BTW era is gone, and artRAVE is more about art and getting drunk. I'm just complaining about things that once were important to her. She was so kind to others and fought for her beliefs, but now she shades Katy Perry and "respects culture" (especially one that pays her well).

Please, don't really mind me, if you're OK with all of that. I'm just not that much lately, and I guess I really need to say it somewhere… Sorry for being kinda negative.

Typically liberals have lower standards for Islamic and non-Western countries.

White Euro country - we lecture them if they're still stick at 1950.

Non-white country - they're doing great is they're not throroughly medieval.

Oh, please....stop with the silly artRave shade.  That's just ridiculous. Gaga talks about things that are important to her all during the artRave. Watch some videos, go to some shows, get a clue.

Her discussion about modifying her show in Dubai was about her dress and maybe using some of the language she uses sometimes between songs. She might not be screaming "Mother****ers" tonight...or she might. Let's just wait and see how it all goes. ;)

Yeah, sadly it's what they call "liberal" today.
