Economy 53,031 Posted September 4, 2014 Author Share Posted September 4, 2014 yeah I was like WTF? when I learned about that Japan is still a very man's wolrd society and women are still treated like second class citizens that should only try to be as much "kawaii" as possible and gays are still hidden in their homes, no one will beat them or anything but they are not what the japanese society expect from them, no wonder Japan is one of the countries with the highest rates of suicides in the world, a very opressive society tbh I wish the japanese society was just like in anime, but sadly anime and manga is just a fantasy, it's not real they arent violent ppl so at least they dont generally bully gays and stuff. But its frowned upon And women in Japan only make up 4% of Corporate executives. And the pay gap is quite large Its ironic that such a modernized Country technologically has such a conservative and old fashioned culture But they have their virtues too.
