Last week I heard what sounded like an unfamiliar Katy Perry song on the radio. Then I realized it was Swift's new single. Commonality? Max Martin. craig 680
Gaga isn't their competition. They run mainstream pop, she doesn't.It is unhealthy and historically unusual for 2 people to run pop to that degree. They make lots of good songs, but pop wouldn't seem so generic if they had some competition. I'm talking from a charts perspecitive, Gaga is an ant and they are anteaters.

Bebe 16,699
It's crazy that he was involved with the launch of the biggest pop star on the planet with "...Baby one more time" and then almost a decade later helped Katy Perry break out with "I kissed a girl". He also produced Problem for Ariana Grande who could also end up being a pretty big force in the industry. I also wish there was a little more diversity and competition in the pop world, but credit where credit is due. That is an incredible and mind blowing feat.
