Organisers promise ‘innovative cooling system’ for fan’s comfort at September concert

Organisers of Lady Gaga’s Middle East debut concert have promised a cool venue at Meydan Dubai on September 10. Promoters AMI, ATW and Live Nation Global Touring said “an innovative cooling system†will ensure fans, or little monsters as they are called, will be provided with 100 units of industrial coolers to ensure the concert is comfortable.

“Competing against the heat of the UAE is always an issue when it comes to outdoor locations, which is why we are pleased to have the opportunity to manufacture a solution to cool different areas of the venue,†said Jonathan Calvert, general manager at Flow, the company supplying the coolers. “With a large portion of our cooling fleet committed to this exclusive project, we look forward to enhancing the concert-goers’ encounter to be cooler than perceived.â€

Cool gusts will be propelled more than 20 metres into the air by jet diffusers, which will be located in select areas throughout Meydan Grandstand, said organisers.

“We want the audience to have a comfortable and enjoyable time during this forthcoming event,†says Marco Rios, chairman and CEO of AMI Live. “Not only will this be Lady Gaga’s first performance ever in the region, but AMI Live, along with ATW, are proud to introduce this innovative element and contribute to the comfort and overall satisfaction levels of the audience, while enhancing the overall concert experience in Dubai.â€

Gaga’s ArtRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball Tour, in support of her fourth studio album ARTPOP, will make its way to Dubai’s Meydan Racecourse on September 10. Tickets are priced at Dh495 (general admission), Dh750 (grandstand seating) and Dh1,295 (golden circle). VIP tables and suites passes are also available, starting at Dh2,000.
