I can't wait, I'm planning to buy the 5.5 one, I want the best from Apple and I don't care how much it will cost.

Call me a fanboy but iPhone is the best and I will never change it.

btw, Tomorrow I have a job interview at Apple Store in Nice, it's like a closure for me because I left the Apple Store (it's a premium reseller but who cares?) in Israel at the day they announced the 5s  I hope they will bring me back, it was so wonderful to work there..

His fart felt like a kiss

Linkedin profile confirms sapphire glass screens coming to Apple mobile devices

Screen-Shot-2014-09-07-at-8.51.29-PM.jpg

Although we know that Apple has spent a lot of money to team up with GT Advanced to created a sapphire glass manufacturing facility, we haven’t up until now had any direct confirmation on whether or not it that glass would be used for the screen of the iPhone 6. All we’ve heard are rumors, which right now say that sapphire glass will be limited to the most premium models of Apple’s latest smartphone.

But thanks to a rather loose-lipped former GT Advanced employee, we might have our first real confirmation that Apple and GT Advanced have been working to ship the iPhone 6 with a sapphire glass display.

According to a LinkedIn updated by former GT Product Manager Paul Matthews, he spent his time at the company helping “spearhead†Apple’s sapphire glass display for future iPhones:

Worked with GT Advanced Technology to help market and sell the idea [sic] of sapphire as a cover screen for mobile devices to Apple. [...]

After marketing and selling the ASF [advanced sapphire furnace] into the LED market targeted mobile screen covers as a market for growth, conducted a focused marketing campaign and developed a cost model across the supply chain that has brought sapphire to Apple’s mobile display.

Matthews spent three years working for GT Advanced before leaving to join Applied Materials. It’s worth noting that Matthews doesn’t straightout say that sapphire glass displays will come to the iPhone 6, but instead just “Apple’s mobile displays,†which could mean the iPhone, iPad, and iWatch. Matthews has since deleted his LinkedIn profile.

Whether or not we’ll see such sapphire glass screens come preinstalled on the devices announced on Tuesday is still unknow, but luckily, we only have two days to wait to find out.

Security, stability, smoothness, excellent animations, speed, tons of apps that run better than their android versions (fact), great support, great overall experience. And iOS 8 has widgets (which are not even something extremely useful).

Thank you.

So basically that can be categorized into visuals and stability.

I'll agree with you that Android crashes for me sometimes, but I think all phones do that. A couple of my friends have an iOS and that crashes as well. Probably less, though I'm not sure because I left my phone in a steam room. XD

Visuals, that's true. At least before they flattened all the icons.

I guess I just couldn't get into iOS because there's no customization. I feel like Apple restricts everything. With widgets and Android I have my own start menu, background based on weather, a wallpaper slide, AnyDo list and a weather widget all on my pretty big screen. <3

The only thing I DO miss of iOS is the music player. That thing was pretty awesome. :/ I have PowerAmp now but it's just not the same... And I can't sync my playcount with iTunes.
