The teen said when he refused 18-year-old Andrew Wheeler was called. After Wheeler arrived, the victim says Andrew began beating the teen. In the incident report he claims Wheeler followed him outside, choked him until he lost consciousness and struck him in the face. A police officer later found the victim after midnight lying in the road on Southwest 6th Street. He was then transported to a hospital. I said towards ANYONE, not specifically people with mental disabilities, coz this sort of sh*t doesn't just happen to people with mental disabilities, and no, I don;t think it's ever been as bad as it's getting now. I'm pretty sure it was worse in the middle ages. But yeah I don't really hear a lot of stories like this from the older generation... They were whipped into shape by their parents. Although animal abuse was worse back then. At least in my country apparently it was considered fun by hormonal boys to burn frogs and cats, then my mom would go around hitting them in the head to save the animals. Plus being gay was much less acceptable in the past, and we have media coverage of violence now. So this is the best time period yet imo. Or maybe like 5 years ago.
