Yes because it makes me realise I can't let go of the past as easily as I thought

No because sometimes you gotta admit Gaga's previous work ethic worked really well

And I also don't miss the other Gaga because she already moved on and there's nothing we can do but hope for a better future for her music and artistry

I don't think people really understand that what they actually miss isn't the 'old gaga' but the times of when she was new and exciting for them. This happens with anything anyone really, its almost the same factor of people who describe the 'spark' being gone from their relationship because their partner doesn't give them instant butterflies anymore like at the beginning of their relationship because back then it was 'new and exciting'.

Whatever is new is what people will gravitate too regardless of the quality of the music. If gaga was putting out the same basic songs as Ariana Grande was right now it'd be flopping even harder than GUY but because Ariana is new anything she puts out halfway decent will smash.

I appreciate old Gaga to death. Like, there are parts of old Gaga that really hit a home run in my heart... more than once.

But, at the same time, if you don't appreciate the present Gaga, then you're disrespecting her and you're wasting your time here.

The most frustrating thing about this subject is for many people, it's not "just a little nostalgia." People downright bash present Gaga in favor of her past endeavors, which is not cool. With such a blatant hindsight bias and ear to what the GP thinks too. So ****ing annoying.

In many ways I have a lot more respect for fans who took a step back or withdrew altogether than the fans who stay and do nothing but complain and shade her.
