What's really heart-jerking is the #IfIweregunneddown tag, in which two pictures are compared and one wonders which picture will be used in the media.

I've been looking through that TT for a while, and it's just proving how much prejudice and hatred has infiltrated through the minds of this nation. It's gotten to the point where the madness can't be undone, and the media's bias is showing that.

In most articles, they're showing a picture of the young man killed wearing a jersey and holding up the peace sign, where many are claiming it's a gang sign. I just decided to use the graduation photo of him in the OP, just because.

He was reportedly suppose to start college this coming Monday. Another young mind with their head in the right direction gone. If that doesn't hurt, I just don't know... :fail:

Today actually marks the anniversary of the Watts riots. The story is really starting to pick up now.

MESS

i just came back to St. Louis last night and we were watching this on the news. I don't think there is enough details on the case to cast judgement on whether the shooting was racially charged or not.

There's been so many inconsistencies in the stories neighbors and police are telling. The police didn't give much information to tell us what happened. First he allegedly stole candy, but that was debunked, then he was getting physical with police, but that was also debunked... then he had his hands in the air complying with the police, but they still shot him. It's weird.

So pretty much everything is in the air at the moment.

Do we know for sure that a police shot him?

Yes. That's what we know for sure. We just don't know the events that lead up to him being shot. There's too many inconsistencies in the story, and we don't know when (or if we'll ever) get the full truth considering the Ferguson Police isn't giving out any information. The only info we got from them was very vague. Apparently they didn't want an eyewitness's account of the story, which is weird.

I just realized OP looks almost exactly like the guy who was shot in his photo :')

I don't know what you're trying to get at.

Compare your expression and face to the first pic of that article.  :toofunny:  Not getting to anything. Just a hilarious observation.

Chris Hayes, a journalist for MSNBC and host of All In With Chris Hayes interviewed a key witness last night, but the Ferguson police have yet to. This is getting weird. Something tells me they know what went down but are scrambling to come up with something to protect themselves.

They are not revealing the name of the officer who shot the young man because they fear for his protection. Wow. Also, journalists are being asked to leave or to be arrested

Edit: Police allegedly have been 'trying' to locate the witness. Not sure if it's the 'key witness' or someone else who saw something.
