Haroon 49,685 Posted August 4, 2014 Share Posted August 4, 2014 A limited edition PlayStation 4, themed around LGBT Pride's Rainbow Flag, has been sold to raise money for charity. Swedish retailer Webhallen sold the console for 28,300 Swedish kroner, which comes in at around $4,118, and gave the money to RFSL, a charity dedicated to supporting the LGBT community. Dubbed the GayStation, there's no suggestion the console will be made more widely available. All is not lost for those bored of the standard black model, however, as Sony is set to launch its own white console in September alongside Destiny, though a standalone version is expected at some stage in the future. This morning we also heard rumours Microsoft is set to follow suit by bundling its white console in with Sunset Overdrive. It's an amazing design and I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to pay a bit more for the design. It's great marketing and a great message.
