Yanko 9,860
JnD and chillin say hello :reductive: Idk how you all can talk about her urban stuff "being so good" when she's literally released like 3 urban songs. All of which have been completely subpar. And no...DWUW is NOT Hip hop.. dwuw is urban and partynuaseus has that urabn edm vibe
Scotty 87
I wouldn't mind a few songs in that genre but not a whole album.
Rolodex of Hate 1,761
Uh please no, I hate hip hop. Please just stick to pop as that's what you're famous for and you do it so well! We have no legal choice but to stan
tiffa 169
I want her to expand as an artist and I encourage experimentation. If this is part of that creative process, fine. I don't frequently listen to this genre, but I don't hate it either. I'd really like her to experiment more with edm. I loved Aura so much!
Bambino 24,290
I wouldn't mind it. As long as the music is cool, why not? :)
Solar 604
I would definitely be interested to hear Gaga made an album in a similar vein to Yeezus or My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Something hip-hop inspired, but with elements of electronica, pop, and R&B. Heck, I'd be here for a Kanye collab, it's long overdue and would make hella buzz. I would be excited only if this happens, not a big fan of Hip-hop but yeezz Kanye is reel good.

Rolodex of Hate 1,761
I hate to be the only one saying this, BUT ABSOLUTELY NO. I totally agree. We're all fans because of her amazing pop songs. She should stick with what she's good at. We have no legal choice but to stan
Glow 0
I totally agree. We're all fans because of her amazing pop songs. She should stick with what she's good at. speak for yourself. Gaga out of all artists is certainly capable of exploring other routes of music. Do you hate Cheek to Cheek, too? If you only want pop from her you might as well stan for Katy or something
PopBitch 1,218
As we know, Gaga likes to hint at lyrics and song titles from the album she is writing months before it's release or even announcement. We know that Gaga is currently in the early stages of writing songs for her fifth studio album, as she told a fan at the artRAVE that the song of her own which means the most to her is "the one she is writing right now". And then the other day we see a photograph of her with DJ Khaled. While this could just be a photo of the pair in an impromptu meeting, it could also be a hint that she is working with him on new music. Perhaps she's planning a more hip-hop inspired album? We already know that T.I. (a frequent collaborator of DJ Khaled's) wants her to feature on a song for his new album, described as 'the new National Anthem'. (I think they should call it The Star Spangled Banger, lol.) I would definitely be interested to hear Gaga made an album in a similar vein to Yeezus or My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Something hip-hop inspired, but with elements of electronica, pop, and R&B. Heck, I'd be here for a Kanye collab, it's long overdue and would make hella buzz. Kanye has collaborated with everybody it feels like. I don't think there would be much buzz over it at all. In fact, collaborations in general are a non-event because everybody and their brother is doing it in the music business. If the song is good, it will do good, but not because of buzz over the collaboration. Do a collaboration with someone that isn't the go-to person. Do it with someone obscure, more underground music. VISION 52
Mmmm I would be here for Reloaded, LoveGame, Starstruck - styled songs
Spaceman 2
I don't think the whole album, maybe some songs. There's a bigger possibility to be jazz inspired (maybe)
LStephens11 15
I love this idea but the poor basics who vomit every time Jewels N' Drugs is mentioned... this fanbase would implode.
Phlop 4,773
I feel like ARTPOP was supposed to be more urban, with Ratchet, Partynauseous, DWUW, J&D, Red Flame, she seemed all about trap-rap music during the early stages of ARTPOP. BYE
freebit 6,240
I would prefer she go in a R&B direction. Hip hop is ok, but I've had enough of white girl mob ****. Don't get me wrong, she's got good flow and makes it her own instead of appropriative (as in she doesn't usually try to sound ~hood), but white girls rapping is such a 2013/14 trend regardless if she already has dabbled in hip hop before Iggy or Miley even started to. R&B is going to be huge again, bookmark me. This 1990s nostalgia trend is just going to set the stage for people to want R&B back. DWUW was excellent and her best sing in YEARS. She's great at it. It's a sophisticated move that is chiller, classier, and a natural evolution from her last record IMO.
